AudioQuest's Flat Series speaker cable is built around a Semi-Solid Concentric design. While this is not as transparent as AudioQuest's Solid-Core Conductors, Semi-Solid wire is significantly more resolved than conventional stranded bundle wire.
Q: Does the arrow on the speaker cable jacket point to the speaker or towards the amp?
A: Points towards the speaker.
Q: What’s the gage on this wires ?
A: 14 awg
Q: Are the cables pure ofc copper?
A: Yes, it is.
Q: What gauge??
A: This model is 14 AWG.
A: Sure, you can use it in the wall.
A: On the X2, the outer casing ranges from 0.160 to 0.190 (it is not perfectly round but has some angling to it), as measured by my caliper. The bundle of wires themselves comes in right at 0.070. BTW I highly recommend all AQ products, including X2. I have about 400' feet of X2 in my surround system. AQ products are not the cheapest out there, but will never let you down.
Q: Are these rated for outdoor and in-wall use? I'm looking to use these for my Sonos outdoor speakers.
A: Yes you can
A: I'm sure this would work really well.
Customers regard the X2 - 50' speaker wire favorably for its sound quality and ease of use, with many praising the superior audio experience and user-friendliness. However, some customers find the price to be relatively high. While the gauge is appreciated by some for its suitability for high-powered systems, others found the cable thickness challenging to work with.
