About this product
Aureole is Markov Soroka's abstract and ambient exploration of the universe around him. Being also the mastermind behind Tchornobog and Drown, these three projects all take place within the same narrative world, with Aureole exploring the depths of space. Fuzzed out and distinctly atmospheric, 2014's InchAlunar' is Aureole's debut album and drips with Cascadian black metal sounds, yet emerges from a completely different locale. InchLike any genre of music, there are true gems that transcend what our perceptions of that genre are, and I think Alunar is solidly in that category. Inch - Metal Bandcamp InchIt's a living, breathing landscape of hopelessness that this album paints in it's sprawling lamentations.Inch - Cvlt Nation. InchAlunarInch is now reissued by Lupus Lounge / Prophecy Productions as Digipak CD and - for the first time - on LP (black and ltd. Silver). Album Tracks 1. I Citadel Alunar 2. 2LP Gatefold (black vinyl). For whom the bells toll in the Citadel Alunar shall encounter the Bellmaster! The particularly sinister and insidious musical and lyrical universe that Markov InchM.S.Inch Soroka is continuously creating with his various projects AUREOLE and TCHORNOBOG as well as ETERNIUM, KRUKH, and DROWN is enriched by a new chapter The third AUREOLE full-length InchAlunarian BellmasterInch differs stylistically from it's direct predecessor InchAurora BorealisInch (2016) in atmosphere and feeling. The album returns to the spirit of the 2014 debut InchAlunarInch albeit as a more advanced version with the added experience regarding production techniques and conceptual writing that Soroka has acquired over the years. Armed with a vicious sound, the album's lyrical theme is echoed in the sound of 30 bells sampled by Markov and incorporated on InchAlunarian BellmasterInch. The story told on this album is part of the same grimdark fantasy and science fiction based cosmos that AUREOLE and TCHORNOBOG share. The cryptic mystery revealed in AUREOLE demands to worship the Alunarian Belltower in the infinity of cosmos. InchAlunarian BellmasterInch is the most definitive Aureole yet! Beneath the Threshold represents Austere in the here and now. While their previous album InchCorrosion of HeartsInch (2023) formed the bridge between the band's musical history and the artists' fresh vision, InchBeneath the ThresholdInch takes a leap of expression. Austere's sonic heritage is still alive. Even though their roots in early Norse black metal and it's depressive Scandinavian offspring continue to shine through, it is also apparent that the Australians have audibly strengthened their emotional expressiveness and previous blackgaze leanings beyond the point where a stylistic shift towards the latter needs to be diagnosed. On InchBeneath the ThresholdInch, Austere offer more hooks and melodic harmonies to complement the multi-layered, harsh and dreamlike guitar textures expertly woven by Keepin with the aid of Yatras' emotive drumming. Album Tracks 1. Thrall 2. The Sunset of Life 3. Faded Ghost 4. Cold Cerecloth 5. Words Unspoken 6. Of Severance
