Aventon - Sinch Step-Through Foldable Ebike w/ 40 mile Max Operating Range and 20 MPH Max Speed - OSFA - Bonfire Red

This ebike is a really outstanding. It arrived beautifully packaged, fully assembled, ready to go. Set up was as simple as unfolding it, charging it, adjusting the handlebar and saddle height. The optional app was incredibly easy to set up also. On the road the bike is ridiculously smooth, confidence inspiring, comfortable. The build quality is very solid with a lot of attention to detail. If you're looking for an extreme scary beast of a bike, this isn't it. Acceleration is smooth, controlled, whether you are peddling or using the throttle. Handling, steering, and general demeanor is confidence inspiring. Performance is zippy, but with a smooth surge of power that is measured and not abrupt. There was plenty of torque that doesn't constantly beg for peddle power to tackle reasonable hills. The step through design is incredibly comfortable to live with, suitable for a very wide range of rider height and weight. Despite being a folder, ideal to load into the back of a reasonably sized vehicle, it rides like a non-folder. Meaning, that in operation, it doesn't feel like a bike that can fold in half. There are no rattles, scary sounds, or feelings of flexing. In short, it doesn't feel like you are compromising much to gain the convenience of portability. Although, let's be real, this is a heavy bike, so while most owners will be able to put the bike into a vehicle and pull it out again, don't expect to run up a flight of stairs with it or hop on and off public transport with it. The saddle is surprisingly comfortable despite the lack of rear suspension. The huge tires are wonderful on the road, and don't feel unsafe on rough ground either. But you should probably choose something else if you were planning on extreme trail riding and mountain biking. In short, there is a heck of a lot to like. As for cons, the display is a little more pixilated than I would like, lacking the smoothness of the smart phones we are all so used to. It is a bit annoying that fenders, lights, bell, and racks are all extras. I wish that the key or app could disable or lock out the bike in some way as an added security measure. The design of the handlebars are such that there isn't a lot of spare real estate for accessories. Even choosing a bell isn't as easy as it could be because of this (although the one sold by Aventon fits just great). I wasn't sure about the decision to put the throttle on the left thumb, but that's fine. All in all, this is a really really solid bike. And it is a brand that seems to have decent respect in local bike shops as opposed to many online only brands you can buy. If you want to hit the trails, parks, cycle paths, get some exercise, fresh air, and have fun, then there is a lot to like here.

I love this bike. In the month that I’ve owned it I’ve put about 300 miles on it. It is comfortable, powerful, easy to pedal and most of all great to look at. The style is something that cannot be overstated, it just looks cool. I get lots of attention and compliments on the greenway and at parks. It’s not perfect though, There are no integrated lights, which is something they addressed in the Sinch ST 2.0. I purchased aftermarket ones but it is kind of a safety issue. The lack of fenders was an issue the first time I rode and it had rained, I ended up with mud all over my back. I went home and ordered those immediately. That being said, I knew it didn’t come with lights or a fender and still think it’s a great bike for the money. The only actual design issues I’ve found are the handlebars are a bit crowded if you’re trying to mount accessories like a phone or a bell, light, etc. And the biggest negative is the bike has a tendency to scratch itself when folded. There does not seem to be and built in way to prevent this either. It will simply contact itself and scratch the beautiful paint. If the bike were less attractive or not built as well as it is, that would be more forgivable but this thing is built like a premium/luxury type item and it being so easy for it to scratch itself is a tragedy. I had a $600 cheap folding e-bike that had magnets and soft bumpers to help prevent such a thing. So on a bike this nice… not having that just seems wrong. That being said, I still happily give this bike 5 stars. It’s not the fastest at 20mph but it more than makes up for lack of speed with comfort and style. My other main ebike is a Juiced HyperScorpion and I find myself reaching for the Aventon first every time.

We love our sinch ST but upgraded the tires with the kenda krusade for more offroad adeventures in New Mexico. Great bike and great range.

Gets lot of compliments, my 10-year old son, mother-in-law, and even my coworkers at NASA love it. Very easy unboxing and setup process, and it’s a delight to ride around and transport as well. Cadence sensor is good and unlocked bike through Aventon to ride up to 26mph on pedal assist. Throttle only max speed is 20mg. I rode through off-road trails and group bike rides with no problems. No need for a bike rack, but I did end up adding lights, bell, alarm, hidden AirTag, bottle holder, Bluetooth speaker, and a phone mount.

Best deal and I enjoyed the ride. totally recommended
