Avey Tare - Down There - VINYL LP

Vinyl LP pressing. Hot Chip's electrifying seventh album, A Bath Full of Ecstasy, is the group's definitive , crystallizing the sound they've become celebrated for - bridging euphoria and melancholy with colorful melodies, idiosyncratic vocalizations and pounding electronic pop rhythms. Recorded in Paris and London, the 9-track collection sees the group (Owen Clarke, Al Doyle, Joe Goddard, Felix Martin and Alexis Taylor) open up to a more adventurous and collaborative song-writing process, choosing to work with outside producers for the first time Philippe Zdar, the French maestro who's shaped the magic of Cassius and Phoenix, and Rodaidh McDonald, the Scot who's collaborated with The XX, David Byrne and Sampha, among others. A Bath Full of Ecstasy is a fresh, invigorating and essential new chapter in the band's career. The record is a celebration of joy but recognizes the struggle it can take to get to that point of happiness. It is time to get lost in A Bath Full of Ecstasy! Album Tracks 1. Melody of Love 2. Spell 1. Bath Full of Ecstasy 2. Echo 3. Hungry Child 1. Positive 2. Why Does My Mind 1. Clear Blue Skies 2. No God

During the first week of January 2021, Avey Tare (Animal Collective) began making regular drives to his friend Adam McDaniel's Drop of Sun Studios in Asheville, NC to give guts and flesh and color to the skeletal demos he'd made at home the year prior. The plot for 7s, Avey's fourth solo album, then, was set trusting, intuitive, exploratory collaboration among friends, after a Winter without it. These songs are like overstuffed jelly jars, cracking so that the sweetness oozes out into unexpected shapes. Still, the sweetness-that is, Avey's compulsory hooks-remains at the center, the joy inside these Rorschach blots. If Animal Collective has forever been defined by it's charming inscrutability, Avey surrenders to a new intimacy and candor with 7s. Album Tracks 1. Invisible Darlings 2. Lips at Night 3. Musical 4. Hey Bog 5. Sweeper's Grin 6. Neurons 7. Cloud Stop Rest Start
