It's Time to Replace My 3 Gun CRT!
I purchased this projector even though I had never heard of the company and what kind of a name for a projector company is AWOL? Absent Without Official Leave! I planned to buy an Epson which was on sale for a great price, but I hesitated and the sale was over. This one has great features which I have not yet accessed because I'm still working out the screen. My HT/Manly cave was seldom used because I was rockin a 25yr old Sony D50 which is a 3 gun crt projector and the room has to be totally black for a good picture. My plan was to get a 70" plus tv (my movie screen was 80") but my daughter suggested I replace my projector with a projector. I didn't realize they had gotten so bright! I ordered a 100"pull down screen which never flattened out. Frustrated and nauseous from the wavy screen I decided to try paint. Projector paint is too expensive and I didn't want to mess with formulations. Hmmm...maybe one of those cans left over from the home remodel would suffice. Sherwin Williams 6238 Icicle, So i paint a 100" screen on the imperfect wall. Looks great. Look at those colors! Wow! Let's watch LOTR! Amazing! I don't remember seeing so much detail in those costumes. I can leave some lamps on now and see what I'm eating. But, it's not big enough! So I painted a 120" screen on a different wall. Wow! Perfect! Except the wall ain't flat. In fact there is a roll off of a 1/4" on one side and a couple of concave spots. Sigh. So I ordered a screen which came without 25 of the tensioning springs. Sigh! So anyway I am watching a football game and the colors and hi fidelity of the image blows me away. Red may be a little oversaturated but I am very happy with this purchase, My sound is through a 20 year old Sony 5:1 receiver and my 46 year old Bose 601s. oops gave my age away

Great Projector
I was torn between this projector and the Epson, without seeing them in person. I am glad that I chose this one, it has a lot of great features and it looks great, even in a well lit room. The game mode UHD actually works. It has a nice crisp and clean picture and the sound quality is great, especially paired with a Dolby Atmos, sound system. It has a compartment in the back for a streaming stick, HDMI 1 is hidden in there and they even supplied a power area and cord, and sent an Amazon Fire Stick for it but a Roku or others will also work, or leave the compartment open and run a HDMI cable to it. Overall for the price point, this projector provides the best bang for the buck and actually delivers 4K UHD, plus it will do 3D, lots of the laser projectors won’t. It’s a little tricky to get the picture perfectly square, but with patience, you have feet to adjust on the front and back, just setting it flat on the area, didn’t provide a square picture, the software will square up the picture but it’s best to get it as square as possible, before using the software.

Great Home Theater in a Small Room
I’m nine feet from the screen, and the immersive experience is fantastic. I bought the AWOL LTV-3000 Pro primarily for movies and sports. Watching the Stanley Cup this week on my 120” screen seemed like rink-side seats. Baseball games using the MLB app are great as well. I’m a movie collector with over 2000 in my collection and am loving the theater-like experience especially with epic films like Stars Wars and Dr. Zhivago. Set up was easy even for a non-techy older person like me. It took a while to get used to navigating the operating system, but that was to be expected. The 36W speaker is plenty of sound for the room without the need for a soundbar and noise from the unit itself is negligible. I spent a couple months researching short throw projectors, and I’m very happy with this purchase.
