The controls are difficult- though more difficult for me as an adult used to the buttons than my six year old son finds. The animation is, however, much better than what I had as a child and the camera feature is nice.

We bought (1) pink one and (1) purple one for our daughters to play with. They LOVE them but for tie price, it needs to be rechargeable. The girls love the camera feature but you better have a Sams Club member ship so you can but batteries in bulk. They got these for Christmas and within 3hrs of playing with them, they each needed another set of brand new batteries. Now they just sit on my tool chest because the girls are tired of having to switch the the batteries out all the time. In addition, the touch controls are terrible. Luckily my kids persevered, but by the time I got done setting up the first one, I told my other daughter she was on her own. I was ready to pull my hair out.

It took so long to learn how to use it and still learning many tricks to it. Hate the battery life and how quickly each character moves on. My daughter didn't want to play with it at first because it was too complicated. If it came with a charger, this toy would be a 5 star because once you learn to play with it, it's really fun.

This one is fine but honestly, I wish I would’ve just gotten the old school tamagotchi. There was no reason to try to change it. The original one works just fine.

Daughter loves it, but battery runs out very quickly. I had to change battery every week.

I bought this for my 7 year old granddaughter and we both had difficulty initially setting it up. Just didn't seem clear. She did not like it very much.

extremely hard to use. i have tried to watch youtube videos, read the instruction booklet, and read tutorials online and this piece of junk is so frustrating. it looks like it would be totally cute if it functioned more intuitively. the buttons are unresponsive most of the time and each button has multiple functions that make no sense. for how much it costs, total ripoff.

For the tamagotchi collectors out there this is a must buy! So many new games to do and a new concept of caring and playing with your tamas using the touch buttons. Use rechargeable batteries.

My niece loves it, and I couldn't let it down. I was teahcing her how to use it, and all I thought was why didn't they make this when I was growing up.

The 10 year old I gave this to loves it! The improvements in these little gadgets almost make me want one again!

It's a bit complicated for a 9 year old. There are a lot of instructions really easy for a teen or an adult to pick up.

My daughter has been asking for one. I rememver having them when I was her age, was excited to see bestbuy had them!
