This product broke after five (5) months of very little use. We purchased the safe for my daughter who was going to college. The locking mechanism failed allowing the locking knob to turn freely defeating the entire purpose of the safe. In addition, the battery door doesn't stay on and the AA batteries fall out when you close the safe making the keypad inoperable. I had to tape the battery door on to get the safe to work. I contacted Barska support and provided all of the documentation. After several weeks of email exchanges and additional documentation requests they sent me their warranty statement. NOTE: Barska's warranty requires you to ship the safe back to them prepaid and pay them $30.00 for return shipping and wait 6-8 weeks for the repair. That's well over half the cost of the defective, poor quality product. I would avoid this product and company.

Got this on sale for $60.00. Its big enough for a laptop. The key and key pad was an option I wanted. The key pad combination could not be any easier to set and change. It also comes with a cable to wrap around something so a thief cannot just walk off with it which makes it great for traveling and leaving in your motel room.

The keypad works, though sometimes I have to turn the dial a little persistently. This isn't bad, though. Box is sturdy, yet light.

By comparison, this was the best product for the price that had both key and electric key pad options. Also the best size vs: price. Setting up a personal combination was almost too easy. Note: I did get this product on sale on Cyber Monday for $45.00 but keep in mind that this is the same day I did my comparison so all I looked at were on sale. I think its at $118.00 now.

So far, so good. It’s not designed to be a fire safe, I have it to keep kids and guns separated. Kinda wish it wouldn’t beep as the keypad is touched.

The batteries are hard to get seated and the battery door is hard to put back on. The battery compartment feels really cheap.

Gift for a teen age friend that has no privacy in her room. Her brothers can no longer take her money and its big enough for her laptop. Touch combination a big plus.

Great. Comes in real handy. Very compact. Recommend to anyone that needs one.

This safe was disappointing to say the least. The battery casing was very difficult to get the batteries in and the code randomly worked. The key to open it was the lifesaver. Not what I expected at all! I returned it and the one I bought for my daughter.

Works great for what I need. Quick and easy access.
