It works
For the most part this is a great safe. It does lock and unlock when I want it to, mainly got it to keep my 3 year old son from getting my gun, so it does not have to be impenetrable to pass in my book. The key works every time, the PIN code works every time, the fingerprint scanner works MOST of the time. It loses a star because working most of the time is not good enough if your life is on the line. Another fault is the pre-cut foam that holds the handgun. I know my M&P Shield is a small handgun, but this thing must be cut out to fit a Desert Eagle or something! My shield was flopping around in there so I had to cut foam strips from the back side and glue them into the pre-cut slots to snug it up a bit.
