    Music, Film & Heartbreak

John Carney portrays the struggling life of a woman who gets dumped by a rising pop star, only to find a washed up music exec with a broken process. When the two decide to collaborate together to make a record, new relationships are formed while old relationships try to rekindle. Filled with stellar performances by Kiera Knightly and Mark Ruffalo, the music in the film is fresh and original, provided that all of the lyrics are heartfelt and genuine. All and all, this makes for a crowd pleasing romantic comedy with a hint of laughter, heartache and lots of 'f-bombs'. A must see for any music lover.

If you like ONCE, this is for you.

It's not surprising that Begin Again works as well as it does. It's a sincere, heartfelt picture about reality versus illusion, about being oneself in the world rather than becoming what the world says one should be, about challenging the status quo and daring to believe that there's more to life than crude structure and soul-draining trends. It's smartly written, wonderfully performed, and effortlessly directed. The music is catchy, too.

A really good followup movie to Once

I was totally blown away how great a movie Once is so when I saw that this movie was by the same director I didn't hesitate. As a life long NYer I can appreciate the idea of using the streets of NY as opposed to a studio as a canvas for this really good film of a washed up A&R guy finding raw talent in a dumpy open mic bar. The only thing that was out of whack was how he always got parking in Manhattan.

    Great movie

Who knew Keira Knightley could carry a tune? She equates herself very well in this drama about a singer/songwriter who falls hard after her boyfriend (Adam Levine) and her split. Mark Ruffalo plays a music producer who finds a spark in developing her as a solo artist and brings her back to life with the recording of her album. Entertaining movie with a very good cast.

    Word review movie is good

I have not had time myself to watch this movie. I am a big movie buff and have a lot of movies and tv shows. I don't always have the time due to working during the week and during the fall and spring time its hard with tv shows on every night. The only time I get time is weekends. But Rotten Tomato's have rated it pretty good. The previews look good too.
