Benny Mort - Lo Ultimo Que Canto - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Juanito Ayala was a Cuban emigre who became a very popular entertainer in the clubs of Miami beginning in the 1960's. The few recordings he made are highly sought after and El Grano was very popular when released in the mid 70's. Digitally remastered.

Los Caminantes were one of the first small Cuban combos to emigrate to Miami following the Cuban embargo of 1959. Recorded in the early 1960's, InchY Sus CreacionesInch is Los Caminantes at their finest, performing songs that were extremely popular among Cuban émigrés and truly reflect the sentiment of the times, especially the classic InchAmericanitaInch which opens the album. All selections have been newly remastered.

Complique is French for 'complicated'. But here, Houstonian Ruben Moreno's second set is straightforward and adept at combining a rhythmic zydeco beat with a soulful vocal delivery, maybe best demonstrated on InchIntoxicatingInch. Around music since he could barely walk, Moreno under-studied with the likes of C.J. Chenier and Leroy Thomas as a teenager. Now only 25 years-old, he's taken his own show on the road.
