Emerging during the British beat boom of the late 1960s and heavily influenced by Chuck Berry (hence the name!), The Rockin' Berries Black Gold' is brimming with infectious energy and timeless melodies that perfectly encapsulate this golden era of rock. Originating in Birmingham and honing their skills in a handful of German nightclubs (similar to another 60s beat outfit you may have heard of), 'Black Gold' is the crowning jewel of one of Britain's most successful exports with tracks including 'Day to Day', 'Lonely Summertime' and 'Send Me No Letters'.

The Serbian-American Paris-based pianist Ivan Ilic has signed a new multi-album recording contract with Chandos Records, following internationally acclaimed recordings of works by Godowsky and Feldman. His first project on the tag is a series devoted to the solo piano works of the Czech composer Antoine Reicha, a contemporary and lifelong friend of Beethoven. Although best known for his contributions to the repertoire for wind quintet, Reicha wrote vast quantities of solo piano music, most of which has never been recorded. The manuscripts, preserved in the Bibliotheque nationale de France, were published only recently. Offering premiere recordings of the Grande Sonate in C major, the Sonata in F major, and three excerpts from Practische Beispiele, this first volume confirms Reicha as an authoritative, singular voice, whose piano works complement and enrich our understnanding of Haydn and Beethoven. Volume 1 is a coproduction of Chandos, RTS (Swiss Radio), and the Palazzetto Bru Zane- Centre de Musique Romantique Francaise in Venice.

Gold-Bears' second full-length, DALLIANCE is a record about regret. In the past two years since Gold-Bears released their debut album, ARE YOU FALLING IN LOVE?, main Bear Jeremy Underwood gathered a new crop of friends to carry out his fuzz-filled visions. DALLIANCE is more focused and abrasive than that 2011 debut, combining their noise-pop influences from forebears like Boyracer and the Wedding Present with shades of the post-hardcore, emo and post-punk on which the band all cut their musical teeth. This not to say the Gold-Bears gave up impossibly catchy song-writing, just that their signature indie punk anthems are now even sharper, the guitars even more slashing, and the songs even more harrowing and heartfelt than ever.
