Bast,Pieter - Condition Humaine - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

This is the second album of the Pieter Bast European Standards Project. It is an album full of personal thoughts, ideas, experiences and memories of each of the band-members, which resulted in eight beautiful stories. The songs have elements of African music, contemporary jazz and bebop, while also giving reference to the InchElectricInch period of Miles Davis during the 70s and 80s. This is highly intense music, full of tenderness and desire, but also sometimes rough, heavy and exciting with a unique frontline of trumpet and trombone. With this , the group also wanted to express their concern for today's world. At a time when many people are looking for a safe environment and hoping for a better future, they are also experiencing danger and resistance. This is meant as a counterweight to the misery caused by mankind itself. A powerful, positive, and hopeful sound for the future.

Coleman Hawkins - 1953-1954 - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

This CD contains the material Hawkins recorded for Al Benson's Parrot tag in Chicago. Discographical details about these tracks remain incomplete but it seems all items were made in Aug. 1953 - despite various other recording dates found in reference-books and biographies. He was playing a residency at the InchToast of the TownInch club in Aug. 1953 when Benson seized the opportunity to record for his new tag. Only 4 tracks were actually issued on 45/78s - incidentally one with a romantic typo InchI'll Follow My Secret HeartInch appeared as InchI'll Follow My Sacred Heart!Inch Benson obviously tried to experiment, yet neither the vocal choir nor the organist helped Hawkins a lot. It seems that a 10Inch or 12Inch LP was originally planned but Benson never issued it. Tracks I'll See You Later - What a Difference a Day Made - I'll Follow My Sacred Heart - Blue, Blue Days - Flight Eleven - Modern Fantasy - Confessing' - September Song - You Can't Take That Away from Me - Should I - Last Stop - Lullaby of Birdland - Get Happy - Out of Nowhere - Blue Lou - Stompin' at the Savoy - Just You, Just Me.

Bets - Future Color - VINYL LP

She has over 2 million YouTube views and praise from the likes of Noisey, Entertainment Weekly, Paste Magazine, NYLON and beyond. Her music is highlighted by driving melodies, witty lyrics, and emotional reverberation that connects with fans all over the globe.
