Bill Mack - Play My Boogie - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

As her name indicates LoneLady writes, performs and records all the components of her music, building up her own soundworlds in a solitary creative process. Whereas previous albums at least allowed the occasional appearance of another human - a drummer - with Former Things even that has now gone. This time, LoneLady has programmed all the beats and sequences, swapping her Telecaster guitar for an eclectic selection of synthesisers and hardware, their limitless creative potential providing the foundations to take the album in a new direction.Former Things is a glowing assemblage of memory we want to preserve a myth that we protect in our minds, to remember across the ages and inspire us always.01. He is sometimes known as InchWhisperin'Inch Bill Anderson, and that's just how his music sounds quiet, subtle and reserved. Get the very best of these whispers here, and see why fans know his quiet style belies pure country-music power!

Recorded when he was 23, this album features traditional and original songs that deal with love, loss and, most strikingly, the American civil rights movement. McAdoo wrote InchI'm Going to Walk and Talk for my FreedomInch in honor of anti-segregation demonstrators, and InchI Don't Want No Jim Crow CoffeeInch in response to the Woolworth lunch counter sit-in in Greensboro, North Carolina in 1960.
