Handle broke off today after owning this vacuum for just 7 months. Terrible quality.

Replaced my 19 year old Oreck with this. Our carpets have never looked this great for a long time. The suction is super. I filled the tank full after one round throughout the house. Easy to use. Attaching the accessories to the vacuum could use some redesign because they have a tendency to fall off. It has a long cord which is great however, it’s clumsy to wind up. All said it functions great.

I purchased this vacuum upon moving into a new house; we were specifically told to not use a Dyson on the carpet, so my trusty Dyson Ball of 10+ years went to the basement and I bought this highly-rated Bissell. I like the lift-off option and the long cord. I've accidentally sucked up a couple of LEGOS and they are easily reachable by opening the dustbin. The vacuum has good suction (rivals the Dyson!) and I like the pet attachments - so far so good with our cat and dog hair. The vacuum easily transitions from carpet to hardwood. My reason for 4 stars - the hose is quite short so the while using, the vacuum has tipped over a few times. I've learned to deal with that, but not after having the handle fall and scrape my freshly-painted walls a few times.

This vacuum and it's attachments making cleaning less of a chore! With a dog and a cat, we needed a vacuum that would also clean stairs and furniture. It is so easy to go from cleaning hardwood floors, to detailing the corners of the room, to cleaning the pillow or comforter the dog used for her nap! You can also reach cobwebs in the corners of the ceilings with ease! I would recommend this to anyone with pets or kids!

I like this vacuum. It is a little narrower than my old one so it gets in between more things. The cord is nice and long. I would prefer the cord to be on the right side since I use my right hand to hold it and the handle when I am pushing the vacuum. I really like the brush attachment. It does not get slowed by carpet like my old one. I love that I can take the unit off the base and carry it to vacuum stairs. The main thing i dislike is that when I use the hose I have to hold the main handle to keep the vacuum from tipping over and hitting me or furniture. It is a very powerful vacuum.

Pros: Powerful suction Great attachments Additional febreeze filter Long power cord Great for pets Easy to use Easy to clean Cons: Vacuum path/head seems narrow compared to other heads Pet attachment has no storage on vacuum itself (small problem)

I have had this vacuum for a couple weeks now, and I just can't bring myself to love it. I will start with the positives first.... I LOVE the cord length! The cord length allows it to reach multiple rooms, where my Shark requires unplugging and changing outlets to reach. It is very easy to assemble out of the box. As far as suction power, it appears to do better on carpet than hardwood floors. Now for the negatives.... there are no headlights, which I failed to check on first. Most vacuums in this price point have them. The headlights help greatly with seeing pet hair on the hardwood floors. Now for the worse part of this vacuum. The maneuverability of this vacuum is downright awful. It has this top heavy pivoting upper that gives the feeling of constantly leaning to the side but still going straight ahead. It literally does NOT go where you want it to go, especially on hardwood floors. You get forearm pump after 20 minutes of use from trying to turn the thing. It is akin to driving a bus through a slalom course... it just wants to go straight when you turn the "steering wheel"! I will likely be returning it and sticking with Shark or Hoover.

I recently moved to a house where the previous owners had a long-haired cat. I was finding cat hair everywhere and my Oreck vacuum wasn't powerful enough to get up all the hair and dust from the carpet. I was amazed at how much dirt the Bissell collected the first time I used it and I'm no longer finding car hair everywhere! The attachments are also great for cleaning stairs and baseboards. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase!

The Febreze filter insert leaves a nice scent, and does not overpower. It makes vacuuming a bit more enjoyable. It is easy to discard the chamber and opens up to wipe it down easily as well. This allows for easy cleaning for those that like to keep their vacuum as clean as possible. The attachments are pretty standard and work well, I haven't had any problems with them. The vacuum cleaner also swivels easily to get around furniture, admittedly this is pretty common but still a pro. The only downside for those that can be a bit picky is that the power cord is not retractable. However, this is a minor imperfection for most but if it is a deal breaker for you it is something you should know. I have been using this vacuum cleaner for 3 months now and I have not had any issues.

Awesome Vac, my wife loves it. She especially loves the fact that it is detachable and very light

I am very pleased with this vacuum for the awesome way it works and the cost was very fair. I have had other very expensive brands and they really didn't do what they promised and they lose suction over time. This shouldn't happen for a vacuum that costs over $300+ and doesn't even last. Thank you Bissell.

It's a good basic vacuum. I really like the ability to separate the cannister, making tasks like cleaning steps easier. It has a long electric cord so you can cover a large area without having to move the plug around. Unfortunately, the hose and attachments leave a lot to be desired. The hose is too short making it awkward to reach places like window sills or blinds. The combination crevice/brush tool is annoying. The latches that hold the brush portion in place (it's made to slide up out of the way when using the crevice tool) doesn't work well. I'm constantly pushing the brush down to relatch it.

Love that it is detachable. Although wish the hand vacuum cord was longer. Easy to empty with a press of a button. Swivels smoothly when vacuuming and picks up dust from the carpet extremely well. Over all great vacuum.

Great vacuum for households that have pets. Even though I have one cat and my previous vacuum still worked, I didn't realize how dirty my carpet still was until I used this vacuum. Easily glides across carpet and rugs. Also easy to use on stairs. It is a little heavy so if you're looking a lightweight vacuum, this is not it. Overall, very satisfied with this vacuum.

So a new vacuum isn't sexy, but it's a necessity, Love this one! It's lightweight and easy to manuever. It picks up pet hair quite well. We have two dogs and one that does shed quite a bit. This is a good model if you have pets and kids!

Works alright on wood flooring. Great on carpet. But the extra tools really remove pet hair well. Being able to detach it makes it easier on a lot of things. Especially cleaning the inside of the truck

This unit is quite useful, with excellent suction and versatility. However, it is a bit bulky and cumbersome compared to some of the other portable units I have used. Yet, great value and durability.

This vacuum is wonderful. It has a lot of powerful and lightweight. I owned a Hoover upright and it did not have the power and was very heavy. I would recommend this vacuum!

This machine is on the heavy side, but that's what makes it so powerful. You can see the dirt agitating in front of the vacuum! If you can get past the weight this machine is wonderful and a decent price. It also lifts away with is great for getting cobwebs :)

Really powerful. Like that you can lift canister off of frame. Makes it a lot easier when vacuuming stairs! However, when you have to lift up complete vacuum, it is very heavy. Other than that, it is a great vacuum!
