Q: Does dog hair get tangled up in the brushes?
A: After less than 2 years of use and routinely cleaning the brush heads. The belt motor has seized and no longer rotating. I can only imagine due to pet hair and tension. While I feel the price is right for the machine, I question if it should last longer than two years with regular use and cleaning of machine. If I order again I will be buying the extended warranty. Threw it in the trash.
Q: Why does the suction stop when the dirty water reservoir is only 1/3 full?
A: Because one of the few flaws with this machine is when you lean handle back, to use it. Water reaches the full mark when it is only 1/3 full. Another is it could sometimes use some extra weight in front right above the brushes, depending on your carpet. One way to get the suction to work a little longer is to lift the handle a little higher if you can. That also helps a little with the weight on the front.
