Black Bacon - Every Action Has Reaction - VINYL LP

Book of Curses is the debut LP by London band Adulkt Life featuring Huggy Bear's Chris Rowley, Male Bonding's John Arthur Webb and Kevin Hendrick, and drummer Sonny Barrett. Huggy Bear led the UK's answer to riot grrrl, inspired by the Inchseismic shockInch of witnessing a Nation of Ulysses performance together and galvanized by Bikini Kill drummer Tobi Vail's germinal riot grrrl zine Jigsaw. In the 25 years since Rowley played with iconic Huggy Bear, starting a new band hasn't felt right.

This long-awaited record by EU/US super punk collaboration Black Bacon will not disappoint. Half Poison Idea/Half Disaster Jacks makes for a great record. Recent preview on social media has had so much positive response that a tour of Spain is being booked for Sept 2024. Believe the hype. This disc is pressed on coke bottle green colored vinyl.

The Jazz Butcher was always something of a unique vehicle, a sort of musical dune buggy - it interweaves the influence of The Velvet Underground and Syd Barrett with the new wave energies of the day and leaves us all richer for looking in Pete Kember - Spacemen 3 'Bath Of Bacon' was an experiment in sound, conjoining that Ronco platter to Todd Rundgren, a guitar from Wes Montgomery's cupboard and mentions of imaginary monsters set to some funky chops. InchThe sound of a few mates failing to take note that they've an LP to make!Inch claims the JB site. It's pop meets bluesy scat with plenty of deadpan irony - a theme that will recur.1.
