Black Tambourines - Freedom - VINYL LP

One of the most critically acclaimed and cherished rock records in Sweden was the debut album from Freedom, the Stockholm band that managed to sound full-fledged and complete at once with their sunny working-class rock.Among the band's biggest fans are The Hellacopters, who handpicked Freedom to play at their party in April 2022.The reference points are many (Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers are just two of the many names that usually come up), but no one else sounds like Freedom.

- Freedom's first album after legendary drummer/singer Bobby Harrison totally revamped the line-up- Pressed on 180-gram black vinyl- Restored & remastered from the original tapes - Insert featuring insightful essay by author & music journalist Kevin Le Gendre- LP original gatefold sleeve & artwork faithfully reproduced-Comes in a deluxe gatefold sleeve with matte laminate finish. Freedom were one of many British groups that grew from that particularly fertile period that saw the likes of Alexis Korner, John Mayall, The Yardbirds and of course the Rolling Stones come to the fore. Comprising former members of the highly successful Procol Harum, the band recorded fresh original material that put them at the cutting edge of what became known as blues rock, all the while covering classics by their role models. Freedom At Last is one of the best albums the group made in a relatively short life cycle. At times loud, hard and aggressive and at others mellow and introspective, the music showcases the compositional strengths of Bobby Harrison, Rogers Saunders and Walt Monaghan, while the reprises of anthems by the likes of Howlin' Wolf, Willie Dixon and Junior Wells makes it clear the band knew where it was going because it did not forget where it came from. This newly remastered version of Freedom At Last is a very timely reminder of the vibrant work of a British band that made premium blues rock with attitude. Inch... a quality album... An amazing power trio this is probably the missing link between 60s bands like Cream and the Jimi Hendrix Experience, and more experimental outfits like Led Zep, Deep Purple and the harder edge that The Who developed. InchClassic Rock SocietyInch... strong blues-rock with influences of Groundhogs and Savoy Brown with some Captain Beefheart-esque vocals.. InchRecord Collector

In a series of five compact discs WERGO releases Claude Debussy's complete works for piano - masterly played by Nina Tichman - in a series of five compact discs. Music is for Debussy part of nature, originating from it and returning to it. As a sensitive mediator it allows one a glimpse of an original state of things in which man and nature were one - and at the same time documents painfully the loss of this original state. Expressions like Inchmusic of silenceInch and Inchmusic in the open airInch are key expressions in understanding Debussy's works.
