Q: Does Blink allow you to connect to multiple cell phones?
A: You can only have one username/email address and password per account however, you can download our app to as many compatible iOS, Android and Amazon Fire devices as you’d like, so the entire household can receive alerts or check in at home. When launching the app on additional devices, please use the sign in option to access the account you created on your first Blink connected mobile device. You will not have to go through the setup process again. Please note you will not be able to use Live View from multiple devices at the same time.
A: Yes you can. Although, all the cameras on the base module will be on at the same time. So of you want the outdoor cameras on while your enjoying a nice evening at home, you will be setting off the indoor cameras as you move around the house. Having two base modules allows you to have two sets with separate schedules
Q: Are motion pictures recorded and available (how long) for play back?
A: The Blink cameras when armed record clips based on motion detection. These clips are stored in our secure servers in the cloud not in the cameras accessible only via the Blink Home Monitor APP on your compatible mobile device. Blink’s server provides each Sync Module storage for up to 7,200 total seconds of video (or 1,440 five-second events) for as long as you like (no expiration). If you reach your storage limit, it will automatically delete the oldest clip in order to make room for the next one.
A: The system is a great buy. I purchased three cameras and the hub. Everything is in the package, batteries, connect to Cloud storage, video and record. Just sink them and place. Batteries last 2 years and the video is crystal clear. Motion detection is adjustable. I was away on the weekend and the camera picked up a cockroach walking on the floor!! Amazingly accurate.
Q: What is the range if your away from home. If your on vacation or out of state.
A: I was able to alarm my blink from Cancun. I live in Ohio!
A: You would want to make sure that you were purchasing the Blink 1-camera system and not the add-on camera. The System would ship with the sync module needed to operate the cameras, the add-on camera is just the camera that can be added to any existing Blink System it cannot function without the sync module.
Q: Is this the same system as the blink in black
A: This is the Blink indoor system. These indoor cameras are not weatherproof and are designed for indoor use, the Blink XT camera is weatherproof, and can be used outside. The Blink indoor cameras also utilize an LED Illuminator in low light or no light situations whereas the Blink XT cameras use IR night vision.
Q: I have white siding. Isn’t there a white outdoor camera available?
A: We currently only offer the Blink indoor and Blink Mini cameras in white and the BlinkXT2 cameras in black, however we do have Blink XT2 camera covers available in white
