About this product

The Bloods and Crips' debut InchBangin' on WaxInch (1993) - which we reissued in 2023 to an incredible reception - inspired us to dig even deeper into this iconic catalog. The follow-up, InchThe Saga ContinuesInch, originally dropped only on CD in 1994. Now, for the first time ever, we're proud to bring it to wax - pressed on solid Blue and Red vinyl, of course. This concept was a pivotal moment in West Coast gangsta rap, uniting members of L.A.'s two most infamous sets. Crips from Compton, Watts, and Long Beach, and Bloods from Inglewood and Los Angeles auditioned for the project, with the sharpest MCs selected for the final lineup. All proceeds from the original InchBangin' on WaxInch album went toward improving local schools and parks for the community's children. Over 30 years later, the lone CD pressing regularly fetches £50+ on the secondary market - and now the album finally arrives on vinyl. Sleeker in production and delivery, this record carries that true G-Funk swagger, tipping it's hat to Warren G, Snoop, DJ Quik, and even Dr. Dre.

Bloods & Crips - Bangin On Wax - VINYL LP

An important historic 1993 moment in West Coast gangster rap, which brought together the two most infamous gangs of Los Angeles. The goal was to create an outlet for gang members to their frustrations with each other on records rather than on the streets. Actual gang members - Crips (from Compton, Watts and Long Beach) and Bloods (from Inglewood and Los Angeles) - auditioned for the group and the best MC's were chosen for the album. All proceeds from the initial 'Bangin On Wax' album sales went towards local schools and parks for the children. Now 30 years later, the original single LP changes hands for over £100, but it's now available with extra tracks which only appeared on the CD, now as a 2LP, with one red, and one blue vinyl. Bleachers - Bleachers - VINYL LP

Bleachers return with their self-titled new album, via Dirty Hit. The album is Jack Antonoff's distinctly New Jersey take on the bizarre sensory contradictions of modern life, on his position in culture, and the things he cares about. Sonically, it's sad, it's joyful, it's music for driving on the highway to, for crying to and for dancing to at weddings. There's something reassuringly touchable and concrete about it's sentiment exist in crazy times but remember what counts.
