Bloody Anniversary - DVD

Highlighted by magnetic performances from Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson, this moving and offbeat music biodrama-based on a 2008 documentary-tells the true story of Lightning & Thunder, a Neil Diamond tribute band formed by Mike and Claire Sardina. The somewhat unexpected success they achieved in the 1990s is surpassed only by Mike and Claire's amazing love story, which saw them stick together though good times and bad. With Michael Imperioli, Jim Belushi, Ella Anderson, King Princess. 133 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English; audio commentary; featurettes; extended performances.

On Valentine's Day, someone always loses their heart. Twenty years ago, this small town lost more than that. When supervisors abandoned their posts to attend the town's annual holiday dance, a tragedy claimed the lives of five miners. The sole survivor, Harry Warden, was institutionalized, but returned for a vengeful massacre on the disaster's first anniversary. Nineteen years later, the town is gearing up for another Valentine's party.
