This game is a challenging one mixing themes from Zelda and Dark Souls with platforming levels difficult like Celeste. It’s a good time and solid purchase, but there are frame rate issues in big open areas on Switch. Also this is a bestbuy problem likely, but my game came already opened with a crease down the backside case artwork and indent :( kind of disappointing considering I preordered this in March and got it on the day it released! Overall great game for the money and it’s nice to support a smaller project with legs.

I don't know where to start with this game haha. It is fantastic. I love the art style, the exploration, the puzzles are very well thought out. The only criticism I have of the game is that the difficulty curve is a bit inconsistent. It's fairly challenging but nothing crazy at first, steadily more difficult as time goes on, but when you get to the final boss, everything changes You WILL get stuck on the final boss. It may even turn you off from the game completely. It took me a few days to get my first clear on the game and the biggest roadblock is the last boss. But you know, that's okay! It seems like games these days are too handholdy, in modern games being able to beat the final boss has become an given and not a challenge that you actually have to fight for. Not true with Blue Fire. Honestly, it's $30 and bestbuy has a pretty generous return policy. Try the game out and give it your best shot!

Absolutely loved playing the game. The reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 was the strength and annoyance of fighting regular enemies. Even as you get more powerful weapons the enemies always require the same amount of hits and when they hit you you get hit by a truck. The biggest annoyance was when you got hit by most enemies that shot things at you it explodes and you can't see anything but a screen of whatever the color of the ability is that hit you. They also use abilities in quick sequence not giving you any chance to recover and try to dodge the next attack before your just dead. However this was only normal enemies I found this frustration or annoyance with so I generally tried to ignore them. Boss fights were very fun. They were always challenging for the point you were at in the game but they weren't so challenging it was frustrating. The game has great progression as far as challenges go as well. Some of the voids are extremely tough and take a lot of patience and getting down timing and abilities but they are all very possible and when you complete the you feel accomplished or rewarded. The music throughout the game is amazing and while there isn't much depth to most characters in the game I really enjoyed it. It reminded me a lot of most characters in breath of the wild outside the main ones. I hope they make a 2nd one like this game whether they use the same characters in a new story or make a whole new game with the same graphics and playstyle I would definitely play it. If they make a 2nd I really hope it has a map!

Fun platforming adventure. The controls work great using the Joy Cons (although I still prefer using the Pro controller)

Fun game, decent graphics good combat. Little bit of back tracking but not too bad and you never really feel lost point A to B.

This game was reminiscent of TLoZ Wind Waker in its game play though there are key differences (mostly good)! I really liked the art style. My only grip is the camera angles at times. One ting to mention is my game bugged out when doing to first wallet upgrade quest so unfortunately I wasnt able to 100% on my first play through.

What a charming game, reminds me a lot of hollow knight meets zelda. Very challenging and has fun enemy types and puzzles!

Awesome. Colorful. Fantastic sound track with game. Little bit of a rare find in store I saw it so had to grab it fast. Definitely happy with the purchase.

I'm so in love with this game from the minute i saw it. It's definitely worth your $30. It's actually a little shocking that such a game is priced so low. Not that i'm complaining.

I bought this game for my daughter and she loves it. She can’t stop playing it. Then again, she is the one who picked it out.

If you played Hollow Knight and loved it, you will like this too. Similar visual aesthetic, fun action. Should pick up before it becomes rare.
