My experience with Dustin bObsweep: I really do enjoy having the vacuum, which I have named B-Bot, with me, where I am staying. It is a powerful and great vacuum that picks up very well, saving me lots of time and keeping my place very clean. The vacuum part of B-Bop is phenomenal, I can’t be happier with it. Picks up even hard to get stuff on the ground and makes it’s away into every corner of this place. It really is great! Mapping features and ease of connection was excellent! I do also like the mopping feature and super glad it is here with it. I probably would not have purchased this one, or any one if it did not have this feature. It works very well, when the mop heads are clean (and even when I haven’t cleaned them right away) and the water tank has water in it. My only small critiques are the size of this tank and whether or not I can add something other than water to it. It is a great tool to help keep the floors clean, but think I may need to do deeper cleaning/mopping days from time to time. Overall, I would highly recommend this vacuum to anyone for any circumstances, the minor critiques are easily addressed and I look forward to using this device for a very long time!!

The mapping and overall functionality is very good for this model. Strong overall vacuum suction and leaves nice tracks in the carpet. We've used the mopping feature several times and the spinning mop heads seems to do a noticeably better job than our other model which is the Dustin vacuum/mop but that mop does not spin it just drags the wet mop pads. So far we are impressed with this model; quiet, powerful and well suited for cleanups between occasional deep cleans.

_____ *Pros: -Relatively quiet swirling operation during mopping and vacuuming. -Great suction power. -Self-emptying dust bin feature is a great time saver. -The LiDAR navigation did a great job mapping the rooms. -Images of your home doesn’t get sent to a cloud server – great for privacy. -Good battery life. -Integrated well with Google Home for voice commands. -The app is easy to navigate and responsive. -No-sweep, no-mop map boundaries actually work. _____ *Neutral: -The map editing screen could be better labeled and more intuitive. -The Edge sensors get dirty too frequently, setting off a notification in the app. -The Dust bags are proprietary and cost $18 for a 3-pack at regular price. -The water reservoir must be manually drained and refilled each time. -Only two pairs of mopping pads. _____ *Cons: -It got easily tangled by cords on the floor. Throughout the years, I’ve mostly used low- to mid-range robot vacuum and mopping machines, and among them, the bObsweep Dustin Combo is the best one yet. What elevated the Dustin Combo apart from the others for me was its relatively quiet operation, great mopping and vacuum performance, a powerful and easy to use app, the convenient self-emptying dustbin feature, and a geo-fencing feature that actually works. On the topic of design, the Dustin Combo is like many other robot vacuums on the market – round shape, a spinning side brush, mopping pads on the bottom, and a port on the bottom for filling and draining the water used for mopping. Compared to older machines, the Dustin Combo is a bit lighter. There are three buttons on top – Go, Charge, and WiFi – and they are used to start cleaning, send the robot back to its charging base, and to initiate a Wi-Fi connection to one’s home network, respectively. Setting up the bObsweep was a quick and painless process - turn it on, press and hold the Wi-Fi button on top, and use the app to connect the Dustin Combo to the home network. After that, you let the robot roam the house while it creates a map. The bObsweep initially creates partitions of the house into different zones but if you don’t agree with the layout, you can always jump into the Map settings and draw your own partitions. And that was the first thing I did – teaching the robot where the kitchen, the living room, the hallway, the bathroom, and the bedrooms are. I appreciate that my home layout is not uploaded to the cloud and the data stays local. Once the map was set up, I filled up the water tank and let it vacuum and mop the kitchen and the living room (all hard flooring). The bObsweep did an excellent job picking up dirt and debris as well as hair from our five pets (one Goldador, one Maltese, and three cats). The dual mops also did a great job, removing the dark streaks and blotches from the kitchen as well as making the living room floor look shiny and clean. The Dustin Combo did experience one mishap, and it was when it sucked in a laptop charging cable and it got snagged by one of the spinning mop pads, causing the said mop pad to come off the machine. Fortunately, it was smart enough to detect that something went wrong, and it stopped functioning shortly after. Once I pulled the cable out and popped the mop back in, it automatically resumed its run. Lesson learned – don’t leave any cables out because the bObsweep does not know how to avoid them. What I really liked about the app was all the customizations options available to me, such as setting vacuum power (low, medium, high), self-empty interval, mop intensity (off, light, medium, deep), auto-resume, edge detection, FloorSense (automatically lifts the mops when carpet is encountered, and a mute toggle for sounds and notifications. The bObsweep is compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, and I have added it to my Google Home. Now, onto a little bit of criticism. Although the app is powerful, snappy, and easy to use, there was one setting, the Map setting, where things could’ve been executed better. When you tap into the Map setting, you’re presented with a whole bunch of icons with no labels next to them. In order to find out what they do, you have to tap each option first then the following screen will inform you what that option is about. I find this to be un-user friendly and a bit tedious and annoying. I also found the frequent notifications about the Edge sensors needing cleaning annoying. They supposedly need cleaning once weekly, but I’ve been getting alerts about them at least once a day. I don’t know if it’s a false alarm or they really get dirty that frequently. Besides these two things, I’m otherwise very satisfied and happy with the Dustin Combo. Thanks to the big dust bag, I don’t have to empty the machine after each vacuum cycle and just do it like once a month. And thanks to the dual spinning mop pads that apply pressure to the floor, the cleaning result is far superior to robots that simply rub a mob pad back and forth over the surface. And the app and the robot are smart enough to actually remember and enforce the NoSweep and NoMop boundaries that I’ve set, which all of my other robot cleaners have repeatedly failed. After all things considered, I give it 4.5 Stars. It does well at what it was designed to do and saves me lots of time so I can focus on other stuff.

The bObsweep Dustin Robot Vacuum is an impressive combo vacuum that is impressively quiet while doing its job. This is my first experience with bObsweep and the quality of the vacuum and all accessories are first rate. When unboxing, the first thing you’ll notice is how hefty and solid the vacuum itself feels. Included with the vacuum is 2 side brushes, 1 rubber main brush, 2 mop attachments, 4 mop cloths, cleaning tool, and an extra filter and dust bag. Once you get the vacuum charged up, setup is simple and straightforward with the bObsweep app. The app allows you to set specific zones for no mopping or vacuuming as well as customizing other preferences such as cleaning power for vacuuming and mopping. By default the vacuuming power is set to low and the first thing you’ll notice is just how quiet this thing is when it starts cleaning. Even though it’s set to low it is still impressive how well it cleans on low. When I first used it I had to stop the vacuum and check to see if was actually cleaning because how quite it was, to my surprise it was. If you left it on the low setting, someone could literally be sleeping in the next room and it wouldn’t wake them up, that’s how quiet it is! The loudest thing is when it docks and empties itself. I like the floor sense technology that knows if it’s carpet so it doesn’t get it wet when using the mop feature. If you’re looking for a robot vacuum that can do both mopping and vacuuming, the bObsweep Dustin is an impressively built machine that will do the job quietly!

This robot vacuum is packed with features and cool technology. One of the key features of this robot vacuum is its powerful suction, along with advanced navigation and mapping abilities utilizing LiDar and QSLAM technology. The robot also integrates with automation systems that include Amazon Alexa and Google Home. Setup Setup is easy and can be done intuitively through the Bobsweep app. The robot would be up and running in minutes. Integration and Automation The app is indispensable to maximize the robot’s capabilities. Not only that user can control the robot directly from the app, but user can also activate vacuuming through voice command to Amazon Alexa’s speakers or Google Assistant from an Android phone. Performance The robot features 8,000 suction power and a dual scrub mopping system for efficient cleaning. The suction power is notable as not all robot vacuums have this level of performance. Using LiDAR and QSLAM technology, the robot can identify the floor and generate a situational map of the area and objects. It’s not 100% perfect, but the performance is comparable to other robots with the same technology. The most important point here is that the robot will not slam into an object on the floor and it will follow an efficient pattern to clean the entire floor. User still needs to ensure that there are no objects lying on the floor that would obstruct the robot’s movement. How clean is the floor after vacuuming? It’s clean. The robot has done great job in picking up debris, dust and hairs. After finishing cleaning the floor, the robot will return to the base and transfer the dirt to the base station. The transferring process is quite loud. Conclusion This robot vacuum is excellent. The app is user-friendly, and its integration with Amazon and Google Assistant is a welcome addition. Above all, it cleans efficiently and delivers results as expected out of a robot vacuum.

I had purchased this with high hopes. Unfortunately, I had to return this item. It swept up debris just fine, but would not actually empty it into the dust bad, so we had to manually do that every time. Upon further inspection, the filter was not stamped correctly in production. It was off alignment about 1/3 of the way. I did end up purchasing a completely different make and model. It is more convenient to have the automatic dispensing and draining of the water, instead of having to that manually as well like having to do with this one. I would not recommend buying this. I only spent $100 with my new one on sale and I am extremely pleased. I ended up with a Shark instead.

The assembly and quick start were simple with the included Quick Start vinyl card. I connected to 2.4 GHz access point on the first try and completed the registration with no problems. On my first run it cleaned really well even though it was set on lightest power mode. I did try the higher power mode and it cleaned well and also lifted the carpet nap up a bit, which was very nice to see. My first map did not include a bathroom off of a bedroom. I think this happened because the lights were off in the bathroom which has a dark floor. bObsweep showed the bathroom as if it was a large dresser. However, once I did another run with the bathroom lights on, bObsweep recognized the bathroom and allowed me to add it to the overall map quite easily using one of the MAP functions. I was impressed with the ease of which I could use the mapping functions to add the bathroom. Tip of the cap to bObsweep engineers for ease of use. The bObsweep found its way back to the base every time. The mop functions are also very useful and worked well. My main intent for the bObsweep is to clean the master bedroom and bath. This unit is a small size yet includes the docking station which empties the dustbin. I really love this feature which eliminates the need to empty a dustbin every time you clean which always causes a cloud of dust to breathe. Being smaller, it fits nicely near a corner of the bedroom. I am thinking of expanding the map since the battery in the bObsweep is great and uses only about 15% of its power to just do the master bedroom/bath. The dust collection bag is super simple to install and remove, just open the top and it is accessible, versus some brands which require you to move the unit away from the wall and open the back to access the dust collection bag. I am very happy with this powerful cleaner and do highly recommend it.
