Bolan's Shoes - DVD

Eva Meyer works at a five-and-dime, the sole earner for her three younger sisters, her mother and her father all living in a cold-water flat. When a dishonorable man offers Eva a way out of poverty in exchange for her heart, she comprehends leaving her family to rot in this feminist masterpiece from historic director Lois Weber, newly restored with fresh intertitles.

Bo Derek ("Ghosts Can't Do It") stars as a curious ingenue who is ready to shed the trappings of girlhood and become a woman. Upon graduating from school in Britain, she finds that she hungers for more education -- in the art of love!

Wallflower Lennon Gates (Sylvie Mix) yearns for access to the inner sanctum of the underground music scene in Columbus, Ohio. When she creates a podcast to interview the local artists she adores, Lennon discovers her own musical ambitions, develops a fast friendship with the striking, confident performer Bobbi Kitten, and in the process creates an identity not wholly her own. Soon, Lennon's aspirations, with some constructive coaxing from Bobbi to find her voice, lead her down a path of dark obsession.
