About this product
Solid Steel continues it's most excellent purveyance of the art of the mixtape by asking Brighton's Bonobo to get his opposable thumbs (and fingers) working those crossfaders like there's no tomorrow. While Simon Green is an esteemed recording artist and gifted bass guitarist with his brilliant Bonobo live band, it's his DJing that provides the beat research, instant buzzand down and dirty rump shaking that he lvoes. Wit hthe 7th in the Solid Steel series Bonobo steps up and show US how he rocks it whilst out on DJ maneuvers across the world. Bonobo has delivered US a stunning mix simply infused with sunshine, rarity in England, that is guaranteed to inspire a break out of barbeques and chance to soak it all up while the clouds are away.

Black Sands came out in 2010 to almost universal critical acclaim and worldwide commercial success. Si Green aka Bonobo moved from being an underground producer of impeccable credentials to a poster boy for a new take on electronic music - contemporary and edgy but also soulful, song-based, sometimes rich but always emotional. BLACK SANDS REMIXED gathers together a group of like-minded musicians and producers to interpret this classic album. Most of the material here has never been heard before.

2010 . Simon Green (AKA Bonobo) returns with his fourth and finest album, Black Sands. Losing none of his epic emotionalism, his control of texture and color and his subtlety, Black Sands sees Green making some of his most contemporary-sounding music to date.
