Excellent reader
Light weight and very good screen. Portable. I wish I could write on it.
I am using this primarily for an e-reader. With being able to get Google Play, I can add all my e-reading apps on this one device. There are a few tweeks I've made for some dark book covers that can't be seen well. This is a Chinese device and it can present a few confusing situations but I've just been playing around with it and figuring things out. All in all I am satisfied with this device and what it presents me. I don't think I would be happy with this device for use just as a tablet.
Bought this for literally one reason- the “current” kindle oasis(only kindle with physical buttons) is currently 4 years old, still 250 bucks and is rocking MICRO USB! like Amazon, what?! Well alls well that ends well bc their lack of refreshing the oasis line drove me down a rabbit hole of e-ink alternatives, and this reader is basically perfection. The only thing that is a little irritating is lack of accessory availability, and the first party case (if you can find it) SUCKS! But i managed to find a suitavke alternarive elsewhere and no there is no looking back. It runs android instead of a propietary OS like kindle or kobo and so you can use the kindle app, nook app, libby, and tachiyomi (!!) right on the device. Everything looks fantastic on it. It does takes a little longer to switch between apps and load initially, though speed is a non issue once loaded. And thats a trade off i would gladly make in exchange for access beyond the walled garden, but still having access to your kindle library if you have invested in that. Hopefully durability is good as well, but only time will tell. If you are thinking about trying this as an alternative to kobo or kindle dont even think any more, just do it!
