A: Hi XmasC. Thank you for your question. Yes the 800 Series Over-the-Range Microwave does have a plug and power cord. The power cord 39" long and the plug type is a 120V-3 prong. The unit can be vented externally and does have surface lights with 2 settings.
Q: Does the Bosch 800 also vent the stove when mounted above it?
A: Yes there is an intake on the bottom of the Bosch 800 Series microwave that pulls air from above your range.
Q: does it have a removable filter

Model:HMV8053U does have removable filters and per the Use and Care Manual the oven ventilation filters should be removed and cleaned often; generally at least once every month.
