Warm air may be released from the vent before, during and after cooking. It is normal to see steam escaping from the vent and condensation may collect in this area. This area may be hot when the oven is in use. Do not block the vent as it is important for air circulation.
A: Yes we also have a 30 inch opening the actual box is 29. 3/4 but the glass top overhangs bring it to the 31 3/4 the bosh fit in perfectly! Highly recommend this product we love it!

As an example: Per the Use and Care Manual: Here are some cookware tips for keeping the cooktop scratch free: Use of pots and pans with rounded (either concave or convex) warped or dented bottoms should be avoided. Make sure the bottom of the pot or pan being used is clean and dry. Use pots and pans with thick, smooth metal bottoms. Do not slide metal pots across the cooktop. Pans may leave marks which need to be removed immediately. Do not use glass pans as they may scratch the surface.

First Time Bosch Range Owner
I love this range! This is a beautiful appliance that heats to true temperatures and is a joy to cook on! The oven preheats very quickly, and so far everything cooks evenly and fast. The glass cooktop is much easier to control temperatures than our previous (different manufacturer) range. Buy this range!!
