Very nice cooktop

We love the cooktop and it looks great but are disappointed that there are no indicator lights when a burner is on. The unit came with good directions for installation and it fit perfectly in our cut-out. It is hard to fit five pans on the burners unless some of the side pans are very small.

The fire for medium burners are too low that they take quite some time to heat up stuff. The turn on knobs are also high and look unattractive from side view. The chrome rims for burners are hard to Clean when it’s burned grease. Tried cleaners specialize for chrome/pots and was able to take off 60%stain/burned marks. Also, wish the grills can be put in self-clean oven like the Jen-Aire stove top grills to clean/burn off burned grease. Nice to have 5 burners but used At most 4 at a time so wish it was only 4 may be staggered so as to have more rooms for bigger pots.

I love the 20,000 BTU middle burner as well as the Optisim precision simmer burner. Excellent quality and looks great. I wound up installing the unit myself since the plumber that installed the gas line wasn't allowed to. It was easy to install once I found an elbow connector to allow it to sit flush in the countertop above the existing oven.

Bosch Cooktop Review

Visually the cooktop is very nice. However, we have had problems with the burners staying lit after igniting. They go out if you don't hold the knob down long enough and each burner is different on how long you have to hold them down. This cooktop is much more difficult to clean compared to our last Kitchenaid cooktop. Build quality also seems subpar compared to our last cooktop although it cost quite a bit more.

Do not buy - you will be dissapointed

Terrible product. It's broke 4 times within 1 year and Bosch will not replace but rather continuously come to 'fix' it. Also, they have canceled service calls twice. So essentially I have had them come by 6 times within 1 year - awful. And there is no room on the burners. Hard pass.
