Q: Will it plug directly into your TV?
A: The correct answer depends on the TV. All speakers require some type of amplifier to drive them. Bose 201 speakers require an external amplifier because they have no internal amplifier. You can connect Bose 201 speakers directly to your TV if your TV has speaker-level outputs from its internal amplifier. I haven't seen a TV with speaker-level outputs in a long time. The simplest generalized answer is: you probably can't connect Bose 201 speakers directly to your TV.
A: Thank you for your question! The 201 Series V speakers are designed to be connected to a compatible third party receiver, rated between 10-120 Watts Per Channel, 8 Ohms. Any audio source, including an iPod, would connect to an audio input on the receiver. If you have any further questions regarding setup or compatibility, please contact our technical support group who can assist. They can be reached at 1-800-380-4831 - 8:30AM-10:00PM M-F, Sat 9-7:00 EST.
Q: Can you put Bose 201 in a car?
A: Why not? Have had a set in my truck for 15 years and sound great !
A: No. There are no accessory or additional speakers that can be connected to the Solo 5 soundbar. The Solo 5 soundbar is a stand-alone unit.
Q: is this a set of 2 speakers?
A: Hello! The Bose 201 Series V are sold as a pair (2 speakers). We hope this helps! Ashley - Bose Support
Q: Can you add these in to a different brand surround system as either front or rear speakers?
A: These are passive speakers that must be connected to a receiver or amplifier. This can be a Bose product, or third-party. Be sure that the amplifier/receiver is rated 10-120 W per channel, 8 ohms.
A: Hello! The 201 and 301 speakers are designed to work with a variety of stereo receivers and amplifiers as either front or rear channel speakers. Whilst we don't know exactly what subwoofer you're referring to here, as long as this is connected to your receiver/amplifier this should correctly act as the bass module in this system. The bass should be full and natural from the speakers themselves, but are not aimed at being the sole source of bass in a setup. If you have further questions about this system, please get back to us so we can assist further!
A: Hi SamB, please contact us for further information. The UB-20 series 2 are not designed for the 201 speakers. Regards, Joel - Bose Support
