I bought a new premium TV last year and had a pretty good home theatre system but I wanted to go premium with the sound as well and BOSE has a big reputation, and I wanted to go big and see if the hype was justified. I have the Quite comfort headphones and a stand alone speaker for road trips and they hit way above their wight class. I was hoping the same for the Home theater. Got the LIfesytle Ultra Soundbar, The Ultra Subwoofer and two Ultra speakers for the rear fight and left. Un boxing was easy and simple. I love that the only chords you need was a power chord for each of the units and an eArc/ARC cable…that’s it. The app makes the actual set up the easiest home theater set up I have ever done…NOTE: Your tv must be e/Arc because you have to control the Bose Ultras from your tv remote or app or by actually touching the sound bar. Set up was a few clicks and all the magic just happens. Power chords are the only chord and cable wrangling needed. The sound bar is beautiful and a little heavy. About 15 pounds. That’s something to consider because I plan to hang it under my Mantle mount pull down tv arm. My new tv was lighter than my old one and then I upgraded on the mantle mount to hold more weight but I might need to adjust tension on the pull down hydraulics. I got on BOSE website and ordered the wall mounting brackets and I will have to figure out the right combination of hanging accessories to make it work. The sound bar is clearly designed to be sitting on a shelf but I don’t want it that way so I must innovate a bit. Also if you plan to use a generic wall mount BOSE has a grove on the underneath so that must be taken into consideration as a generic one may not work. If I can hang it on a wall though… I should be able to mount it on my tv arm….We’ll see. So back to being designed for a shelf primarily… the unit has volume control and pause and play on a physical button on the top of the unit. Yes you actually can walk up to it and spin the virtual volume wheel to the left or right to turn up the sound or down. I like that…I think… but it seems very retro and I doubt I will use that very often if ever…. Who wants to walk up to their sound bar and push buttons in 2026??? The unit doesn’t even come with a remote….I know sound bar remotes seem archaic and sit in the sofa storage box 95% of the time but for a premium system… give us a bone and throw in a basic remote. It would be nice at a party if I could have that in my pocket and mute quickly…. To be fair, The BOSE app is very nice, quick and responsive and is better than a remote in so far as how easy it is and more functional that a remote…but I want both options. The subwoofer is heavy, well built and looks really good in my Livingroom. The base is so amazingly clean and balanced and powerful…You truly do feel it… even at scale…. Even when the volume is not high…you can still feel the base and it is proportional to the other sound profiles and just amazing! The Sub Looks like a small coffee table instead of some big open woofer. I like that. The rear speakers are larger than my other rears on my old system and that’s because BOSE has done something really unique and versatile with the Ultra speaker …. They can be a stand alone speaker unto themselves…. Really interesting and very cool. I absolutely love the concept of being able to just unplug my speaker and take it with me on a trip or better yet buy two more and have whole home audio. The Ultra speakers being a stand alone unit with stand alone audio features (mid’s, highs and base) bring a whole lot to the home theater experience. They hit so much harder than traditional supplemental rear speakers in other systems I have had. I was watching a show and charter walked in stage right and slammed a door on the screen, I jumped because I swore my main door of my house just slammed behind me….amazing….It literally tricked my brain with just how realist the sound profile was. So realistic and immersive… and that brings me to the overall sound quality. Bose is an investment in experiences for me and my spouse… from movies with the spouse, to concert quality sound from my streams …Apple, Spotifiy, Youtube, Netflix, HULU, Paramount…ect ect…My spouse and I are so busy that we only have a couple of hours to escape and relax and get lost in music or shows….BOSE delivers that experience on a silver plater with style and elegance. I don’t know how they are able to have such clear dialogue while still maintaining the lush and vibrant and sometimes loud audio soundscape of some of the movies and shows out there and the Base…BOSE knows BASE. The app has a dialog boost setting… 1, 2, and 3. I tired all three and I actually prefer and can hear quite fine the native setting of the system (No subtitles needed ever again!). You can easily use the app to increase base and mid ect…but I found that the sound profile out of the box is spot on….It uses your cell phone to gage and analyses the room!!! You actually set you phone on the unit and run a calibration.. then you sit in your spot on the couch and run the calibration again and do that two more times in sperate places you sit at and it generates the best sound for those location…insanely smart… and I could hear the difference…. The sound in so enveloping…It’s like it is everywhere all at once…You have to experience it to really have an appreciation of just how smart the tech is. It comes preloaded with the Alexa assistant …bummer… I hate Alexa. I wish it had a Google Gemini option but if you’re an Alexa family you good to go out of the gate. Also Gamers…. Amazing!!! I play mostly first person shooters (or at least till GTA 6 comes out)… but the bullets and music are next level. Despite the very minor gripes about no remote and Alexa…. Bose Ultra Lifestyle lives up to the hype for me. If you love sound…Sound loves BOSE and it shows! Can’t go wrong!

Reviewed as a complete system I've either owned or had experience (through friends/family) with many Bose products over the years. This started with a pair of 901's back in the 70's when I admired but could not afford such an extravagance. Luckily I had a friend with spendable cash. When the original Lifestyle surround system came on the market; I was working steadily, and that became my Christmas present to myself. What followed was CD Clock/Radio; outdoor speakers, smart soundbars, and headphones, both bud & noise cancelling styles. The new LS Ultra Soundbar follows in their tradition of beautifully designed and well engineered products. Upon unboxing, I was immediately impressed with the smooth plate glass top of the soundbar piece. The body of the unit is sleek, elegant, and at about 42" long, definitely not unassuming. A statement piece to be sure. The subwoofer for the LS is also topped with a thick slab of plate glass, and quite heavy relative to its size. By its heft alone, one could imagine the thunderous bass its body could produce. Rear satellite speakers also quite hefty for their size. If you'd be looking to wall shelve the set, I wouldn't be cheaping out on a drywall bracket. Mounting screw hole is provided on the bottom. Upon setup, I was prepared for an adventure with the Bose app. With my previously owned Smart Soundbar 600, I could never get the app to cooperate with the unit. Once I finally got it connected, it ended up dropping it, and wouldn't reconnect. I finally gave up and became satisfied using the remote. With the new LS Ultra, the experience was quite different. The app guided me through the process, first connecting the main soundbar, then subwoofer, and finally, the satellites. I'm sure many of you have had adventures making the TV connection - will it be recognized & configure properly? No adventure for me this time. Hooked the provided HDMI cable into the ARC input on the tv, and all was good. Both units turned on/off properly in sync with each other. The app also contains a function for self tuning/configuration to your room. A series of tones are emitted from the main unit, you take your phone to your favored seating position, and the unit calibrates. The first time around, it gave me a "didn't quite get that"; which was probably because I was holding the phone at the wrong angle. A second go-through went through with no issue. It then asked for a secondary seat position, and went through the process again; however, I don't see anything in the app that would allow you to select a primary/secondary function. The end result produced a beautifully rich and all encompassing sound. The imaging and soundstage are dead-on perfect. I did play with the app's adjustment sliders for bass/mid/treble, left/right, front/back, but came back to neutral, as it seemed the "tuning" function of the app had done its job. I do own other high end audio equipment, my vinyl record collection spans decades and several thousand records. Subjectively, I've always felt that Bose products had their own "color" or "flavor." As such, when listening to vinyl, I strive to keep things as neutral as possible to preserve the original intention of the artist and/or recording process. I've always chose amplifiers & speakers with those qualities, consequently, Bose has not been my choice in that situation. However, video applications are different. If you've ever heard soundtracks to shows or movies, they do have a different sound than if you were playing the tracks on your CD or vinyl system. They're tuned that way. This Bose LS system portrays the audio/video experience perfectly. The streaming I've seen on Netflix, Apple & especially Disney are the best I've experienced. My personal wishlist - I do wish they had included a remote with the system. For one thing, the glass top of the system is a dust collector, and the embedded controls are super sensitive. If my wife comes by to Swiffer the dust, the controls respond, I'd like to be able to have a remote button to control at least on/off. Yes, I do know we have Alexa/Google to control our lives, but I'm an old school guy. I miss buttons!

This is my first Bose sub as I have it paired to Bose’s new lifestyle ultra Soundbar and I have always known Bose enough to know that you will never be disappointed. This subwoofer is no exception. With super clean, precise and deep bass. Not boomy or overdone like many subs that come pre bundled with a soundbar. I know this is sold as a separate purchase but I want you to understand the class of subwoofer it is in. While this might be priced relatively high as far as an add on goes, it’s definitely worth it and necessary as well. The design is on the upscale side and that’s fine with me, plastic all around with a nice and elegant glass top is very nice but will collect a lot of dust unfortunately. Set up is easy through the Bose app if you use the app then you know it’s just a few minutes and done. Small footprint and blends in with my downstairs tv set up. I can’t say anything bad other than I wish the included power cord was longer as I have this in my living room with a 98 inch tv and my tv stand is very wide to accommodate it. But over all this adds that home theater bass you want or need if you love movies or tv shows.

The Bose Lifestyle Ultra Home Theater system is not complete without the Lifestyle Ultra Subwoofer. When added to the Dolby Atmos and true spatial sound of the Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar and Lifestyle Ultra Speakers, it finishes the cinematic sound by delivering clean bass that you do not just hear, you feel it too. The dynamic bass is just like being in the theater. Designed with Clean Base Technology, specifically created to eliminate resonance, the subwoofer delivers a clear, deep base at any volume. This subwoofer sets up seamlessly in the app to make a complete Home Theater System. When paired with the Lifestyle soundbar and speakers, it delivers stadium-level sound. Not only is it beautifully finished and possibly the most attractive subwoofer I have ever seen, but it is also available in both black and white. The overall dimensions are 12.867" H x 11.604" W x 11.604" D, and it weighs just under 34 lbs. The finished materials are PC-ABS Plastic with a glass top. It is really beautiful. It has Wi-Fi built in and was found immediately by the app, which also allowed me to add the serial number and register it instantly. I had selected Home Theater System when I started adding the sound bar and speaker components of the Lifestyle Ultra Collection, and the app balanced the pieces to make that happen. Of note, it is a great subwoofer that is backward compatible with previous Bose Soundbars via a wired connection. It certainly adds a dramatic cinematic feeling to complete the entire Home Theater Experience.

Verdict: In short… I thought I had an amazing home theater setup and then I installed the the Bose Lifestyle Ultra Subwoofer (as part of a Bose Lifestyle home theater setup)… Mind blown! Bass, immersion, and room-shaking like in the movie theater! In terms of a multi-unit Bose package that includes this subwoofer, I can’t imagine a better setup when considering footprint, ease of use, and epic performance. Worth every dollar. Background. This review is only for the subwoofer unit, but we installed several pieces to build a Bose home theater system. Initial impressions. The box for my subwoofer was fairly damaged on the outside from the home delivery, but the bass unit itself was flawless, so thank you for the excellent packaging. I also really appreciate the lift handles to remove the bass from the box… Very handy given how heavy it is! I was immediately impressed by the size and weight of the subwoofer. It also looks very sleek with the glass top (and easier to keep clean with a quick dust off). There is just one button on the subwoofer (reset) and a status light. Setup. I already had the app from another Bose product, but if you don’t already have it, you will have to download the app to setup. Installing with the app was quite smooth for me, quickly finding the subwoofer and adding it to the other equipment in our setup. Once that was installed, I was able to add more to the system (sound bar and rear speakers). I knew this was special when I pressed the bell icon to send a tone to the subwoofer and it shook the room! The app said that it would take 45 minutes (!!) for software download and setup, but it only took about 15 minutes max for me. Beside plugging into power, the subwoofer will connect wirelessly to other Bose equipment through the app. Nevertheless, there is a line-in connector for more options. Performance. We thought we had a nice home theater, but there is simply no comparison with this Bose setup, especially with the added bass. The subwoofer vibrates the entire room and conveys massive feelings from the movies or content you are watching. To me, it’s comparable to the immersion you get in a movie theater. I have never felt this before in our house. The bass isn’t just for power rattling… We noticed a very interesting spatial component to it, for example, when watching a meteorite land at a distance, it creates a initial rattle, which is then followed by the growing and accelerating rattling as the shockwave gets closer. Amazing! I love that the app will autotune for any room to make sure you have great sound. Things I love: - Best bass performance I have ever experienced in a house - Very easy setup - It looks great - You can grow your home theater setup over time by adding more components - Line-in connection for more options (and compatibility?) - Anti-slip feet - Lifting handles to get it out of the box Things I don’t love: - Nothing… it’s perfect! Overall, I could not be happier about the Bose Lifestyle Ultra Subwoofer, and the seamless integration with other Bose units to create an epic home theater system. It has renewed our excitement about watching movies at home. We most highly recommend the Bose Lifestyle setup.

Installation was a breeze. The soundbar, speakers and sub were all packed very well but were still simple to unpack. The subwoofer just needed a power cord connected and plugged into an outlet. I already had the Bose app on my phone, so I went in and added the product to my list and connected it to my wi-fi. The app prompted me to walk through the set up after the system updated. Then you can customize your system. It calibrates the speakers, subwoofer and soundbar for the optimal experience. It will adjust the sound to your space and locations for all the speakers for optimal performance. It only took a few minutes from start to finish which I appreciate.  This is my third Bose soundbar system and this is the first one that did not include a remote. You have to control the sub only through the app. I don't want to have to get up and touch buttons to control the settings or volume so I'm forced to usually use the app because the voice control can only help with basic functions, nothing like the EQ. I think it would be nice to have at least a simple remote with basic functions if my phone is not available. The subwoofer is substantial in size and weight and is the biggest one of the three I own. It's about 13"x 12" x 12" and weighs over 33 pounds. I have it set in in the corner of my living room, near the Bose Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar. As far as sound quality, I think the Lifestyle Ultra Collections is the best one from Bose yet. I think Bose is the best on the market and my personal favorite. The sound quality is always amazing thanks to the Cleanbass technology. The bass is deep and bold. My kids and I love a deep booming base you can feel. The sound is strong but not bone shattering. I'd love to have the option to turn it up even more and shake the house if I want it to. I enjoy using the Lifestyle system when I'm watching TV or a movie and want a surround system experience because I have bundled the subwoofer and rear speakers with the soundbar. I also love streaming my playlist or satellite radio via Bluetooth when I want some background music on. The Bose Lifestyle Collection offers premium sound and provide endless hours of entertainment.

I got this new Bose Ultra Lifestyle Subwoofer as part of a package of speakers to make a complete Bose home theater that includes a Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar and two of the new rear Lifestyle speakers. You can buy each piece separately as funds allow or just buy the all speakers at once at Best Buy. The sound of Bose Subwoofers are legendary. All thump and no rattle unless your house has loose knick knacks. Setup: Unbox and simply plug power cord in and add the sub to the Bose app. If part of the new Lifestyle speakers you will add the sub to your home theater group and you run the CustomTune or tweak settings manually. The subwoofer does have a subwoofer port, but no further info was available at the time of writing. It looks to be a 3.5mm port and may work with subwoofer out ports of other devices. Sound: Absolutely the best sub I have owned for less than a $1k. It is everything you want from a sub. Just that deep low rumble and no audio bleed or rattles. And it can shake a room and the furniture in it. You will feel this amazing sub. That said, apartment/condo dwellers, buy at your own risk. This can get you in trouble with landlords and neighbors. Even homeowners may want to consider how close the neighbor is. If you are getting this as part of the new Ultra Lifestyle speakers. You should be very happy. The speakers all doing their magic together is an amazing sounding home theater setup. The subwoofer is my favorite part, but it really needs the soundbar and rear set to be at its best.

I recently received the Bose Lifestyle Ultra Subwoofer to round out a home theater set, along with a sound bar and satellite speakers. While I like the entire set, this subwoofer blew me away. I first noticed something was different when I picked up the box with the subwoofer...and it was a lot heavier than any other subwoofer I ever owned. Now that alone doesn't mean it's good, but as I mentioned, this subwoofer is incredible. To set it up, you download the Bose app and connect to the speaker. It walks you through setup and the app has help documents if you run into any issues. After getting it setup in the app and adding it to my home theater set (Bose Lifestyle Ultra sound bar and satellite speakers), I changed the bass to the highest level and played some music. The whole house would rumble from the bass. I've had previous subwoofers that could do that, but those always sounded distorted. The Bose is crystal clear...just an amazing experience. I usually never keep the subwoofer at the highest setting since it there is too much distortion, but since this one was so clear, I kept it at that setting and I love it! Overall, I would highly, highly recommend the Bose Lifestyle Ultra Subwoofer.

This qn an absolute powerhouse. Set up is simple and is done so via the Bose app. Comes with aimply the speaker and power cord. I have this paired with the new Bose Lifestyle soundbar and satellite to complete the 7.4.1 system. The top of the subwoofer is a high gloss glass and stands out in the room. It will work with previous soundbars and connects easily. The bass remains clear and undistored at any volume level given it has CleanBass technology. It truly moves the room when properly placed. I've owned several Bose systems and this is its most sophisticated to date. The app affords you the ability to fine tune the module with sound levels and again ties in with the Lifestyle Ultra soundbar and the new Lifestyle satellite speakers. It is recommended that all speakers be within 30 feet of one another for the best possible sound quality and connects wirelessly with the other companion speakers. I would recommend this highly as collectively it is the system Bose has delivered to the consumer market.

I got this Bose Lifestyle sound bar along with a full package of Lifestyle, Ultra Subwoofer, and Lifestyle Ultra Surround Speaker; therefore, I am describing this as a full setup, not as an individual sound bar or subwoofer or the Lifestyle speaker. Unpacking Everything comes in recyclable packaging, and the products are well packed because of the weight of the subwoofer, which is very heavy. The box was opened on one side, but otherwise, everything was OK. No damage. I hope Bose should put more sturdy packaging. The sound bar comes with an HDMI cable, and a Power Cable , Subwoofer comes with only Power Cable. The Lifestyle Surround Speakers comes with Power cables. Build Quality The soundbar has a glass top and instead of metal mash. It has a woven soft fabric. this is my personal preference- I like the metal mesh more than the fabric, just because I feel like the metal is more sturdy and gets a more premium look than the fabric. The fabric also attracts more dust and over time It will get dirty while the metal mesh you can simply wipe with a soft damp cloth and it again shines. on the right side of the sound bar. There is a volume button and a play/ pause button, all are touch buttons. The upward firing Dolby Atoms speaker is also at the end of the sound bar. I like the previous version of the Sound Bar Ultra, but this is my personal preference. Other people might like this. Overall, it does give a premium feel. The subwoofer and the small speakers also follow the same woven mesh cloth aesthetics and look the same and easily blend with any room decor. Setup I have other Bose products, soundbar ultra and also quite comfort headphones, and I own the Bose product since the SoundTouch series which I still love. So, as always, the set up is based on the app, you have to download the Bose app, and then everything is just on a screen prompt, and you have to follow the set up. For this particular product, there was a little bit of a hiccup in the beginning. Sometimes the subwoofer was not recognizing, sometimes one of the small speakers was not recognized, and I think that it was as soon as I turned on the speakers. They were downloading a software update or firmware update. That issue went away after some time when things became installed and restarted. They just pair up with each other and kind of become a home theater system. I set up so that the sound bar is in front of my TV and the subwoofer is on the right side of the sound bar, and two surround speakers are on the back of the room on the left and right sides. Connection are wireless, that means everything is just a need to be connected in power, and then it’s just a breeze. The small speakers can be set up in a different way. Can we use them as individual speakers or in a stereo speaker in a different room so that it gives different options. And that’s really good to have. More speakers can be added at a later time point, or if someone wants to have a 7.1 experience, they can buy more speakers and add them to experience a truly immersive sound. Sound output, dialogue clarity, and bass The sound output is really crisp and clean. Their is in a toggle button in the app that you can turn on the dialogue or spoken dialogue clarity you can choose from low, medium, and high. Even without turning that on, the dialogues are very clear, and I really like this feature on the Bose speakers. During the setup The app automatically asks to connect the sound bar to Wi-Fi and find speakers and subwoofer on the network, and once everything is set up, it asks whether we want to tune the sound or surround experience based on our room. That is a good thing because as we have furniture and other stuff in the room, so it can tune up at the place where you sit and adjust the surround experience based on that. These days, everything is becoming up-based and phone-based, and I really do not like that because now I have to, let’s suppose if I have to change the volume or any other settings. I have to pick up my phone. It would have been very good if Bose included a remote with this product, and I still miss the universal remote with my SoundTouch sound bar. It is kind of becoming a personal music system, not for a family or shared one, so everyone has to have an app and use the phone to change basic things. That’s one down point; a remote could have been much better so that if I want to increase the bass, I can simply press the button on the remote or enable the spoken dialogue clarity button. The app has different controls in the volume and tribble and surround, which can be adjusted individually from -10 to +10. The midway is zero; even at the midway, that is zero value, the sound output is really loud and very clear; it does not break if you increase the volume. The subwoofer is really very deep bass. I am living on the first floor in an apartment building and even at zero mid value I was watching a movie and the whole floor was filled with the deep bass that was really a thrilling experience, and the surround system really built up on that and it is really a movie hall kind of experience. Overall, I really like the Lifestyle Ultra series sound bar and speaker system in my personal feeling. I felt that the series is missing a universal remote, and it would have been great if instead of the fabric, it should have a premium metal mash like their previous soundbars. I do recommend this anyone want to have a home theater experience.

I currently have this Bose LS Ultra Subwoofer paired with the Bose LS Ultra soundbar and Bose LS Ultra speakers. Saying that this subwoofer rocks my entire home is an understatement. This thing is powerful! During movies, it produces some incredibly thunderous bass that puts me right into the action. For reference, my living room is about 900-1,000 sq ft, and it has no problem dominating the entire space in the low frequency range. In fact, in the Bose app, I typically just leave the subwoofer's "Speaker Level" balanced at 0 because it provides all the bass I need. Out of curiosity, I've turned it up to level 5 to see what it could do and it rattles all of my walls and windows; in the best possible way of course! I've turned it up a bit higher just to see if I could get it to bottom out and the subwoofer remains distortion-free. The bass is very dynamic. It can reproduce a very clean sustained rumble, or it can produce bass that's very tight, quick, and punchy when the scene demands for it. When watching the movie "Maverick" in Dolby Atmos, scenes with small ballistic impacts were accompanied by deep and swift bass which made them sound realistic. Whenever the F-18 Super Hornets would whiz by on the screen, the bass was low, sustained, and incredibly thunderous. I can't stress enough how much of a "must buy" this subwoofer is if you plan on picking up the LS Ultra soundbar. It's truly a game changer when compared to the low frequency range on the soundbar alone. The setup for the subwoofer was incredibly easy. Once you've found the desired subwoofer placement, simply plug in the included AC power cable (also, thank you Bose for not making us use a massive power brick) and download the Bose app. The Bose app should automatically detect it provided that you've already gone through the Wi-Fi credentials setup process when first launching the app. If you already have other Bose products that are also part of this current Lifestyle Ultra line, then you'll have the option to add it as part of a home theater setup. If I recall correctly, it's labeled as "Build a Home Theater". Once it's added, you can also click on the "Audio" option in the app to adjust the bass level to your liking. The build quality on this subwoofer is exceptional. Due to it's heft, it hints at being constructed from quality components. It feels like it's wrapped in a dense and very premium plastic shroud with a beautiful, slightly matte textured finish. The upper section has a gorgeous glass top that just exudes a high-end appearance. It almost looks like a statement piece that you wouldn't want to hide if you could! Overall, I'm very impressed with the performance and looks of this subwoofer. If you're thinking of getting the LS Ultra soundbar, this subwoofer is a must!

Subwoofer: I’ve had the Bose TV Speaker and the Smart Soundbar in use under my TV before, as well as the Soundlink Mini & Micro Bluetooth speakers around the home - but I’ve never had one of their subs - so overall, I can say I have a grasp for the Bose sound quality. This needs to differ from my normal Good/Meh/Bad overview and I’ll be calling out things I like, don’t like or are problematic (**) or am indifferent/critical on (*), given the following categories: —- The App —- The Subwoofer (with corresponding Lifestyle soundbar references) The App: Wow, it can be a pain Full disclosure: I started using the system before it was released to the retail community. When you’ve initialized all of the components, using the App becomes easier. I found that a source of pain in the early stages was discovering all of the speakers. My Bose Lifestyle Soundbar was found immediately (other review) - but the Subwoofer was nowhere to be seen. I found a handful of uninstall/re-installs on my Galaxy S26 Ultra got me to find the subwoofer and complete the setup. When you’ve decided on your configuration, I highly recommend using the CustomTune feature, where in combination with your phone (instead of a mic connected to an Amp), the speakers (soundbar/subwoofer) will tune sounds for the 3 positions you may sit in when watching TV. This is a punchy subwoofer with a good amount of tunable range that only adds to the experience. Even on low, you know it’s on. Music thumps - and it really does thump … even songs that you don’t hear much bass from normally show it when this sub is in the mix! Don’t want the subwoofer? Use the App and toggle it off. Once you do that, the soundbar resumes as the bass producer. Small changes in the App for bass strength goes from -10 to +10 to suit any sound configuration that you may want. I find myself around 0 or even -2 during the day or during dialogue-focused TV. Movies? 4 or so … even then, the kid comes out to tell me it’s very boomy. On top of all of the benefits of this sub, it has a pretty small footprint and doesn’t emit any hums or buzzes that I’ve experienced in other subs in the past. Now I imagine that the Lifestyle products are meant to be paired together, so you’ll also be running a fantastic soundbar. Check out my review on the soundbar if you get a chance! My neighbors hate me sometimes!!! This sub sounds so good, the bass is so tight and low it's just sometimes unbelievable. I love this sub and love the app as well. There is no controller for the sub which I really love, I control everything right on my phone and it's instant and very accurate.

Great sub, easy to set up and sync up with Bose sound bar. It might look small to some but it packs a punch.

I exchanged a Bose Subwoofer 700 for this and wow what an improvement. I didn't think that Bose could do better, but they really did. This subwoofer is heavy, a nice size, and will look beautiful in your room. This thing really booms and makes all the difference when you add this to your soundbar. Next, the rear surround Lifestyle speakers!

Here's a more casual, authentic-sounding version: The Bose Lifestyle subwoofer sounds great. The bass is deep, clean, and really makes movies and music more enjoyable without being too overpowering. It paired easily with my system and has been a nice upgrade overall. My only issue is that every now and then it makes a crackling or interference sound. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does it's pretty distracting. Other than that, I really don't have any complaints. Overall, I'm happy with it and think it sounds amazing. If Bose could fix the occasional crackling issue, it would easily be a 5-star product.

The Bose Lifestyle Ultra Subwoofer went beyond my expectations. I’ve been using the old‑school Bose Lifestyle 18 system for years, and it’s still one of the loudest, clearest home‑theater setups Bose ever made. Even with that benchmark, the Lifestyle Ultra Subwoofer beats it hands down. This subwoofer is more powerful, delivers cleaner bass, and outperforms the Bass Module 700 by a noticeable margin. The low‑end is tighter, deeper, and more controlled, especially at higher volumes. It’s the kind of upgrade you can hear and feel immediately. Paired with the Bose Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar, the two complement each other perfectly. The soundbar handles clarity and detail, while the subwoofer fills the room with rich, distortion‑free bass. Together, they create a full, immersive home‑theater experience. I highly recommend this subwoofer if you already own the Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar. It’s a major upgrade and absolutely worth it.

Had it for few weeks now and it is absolutely beautiful,sounds really great and the looks are so nice.

Did an in store comparison on several systems and the Bose bass was superior to my ear. I was so Impressed I left with one.( I was only going for a soundbar lol)
