A: Hi Barry - here are some key differences. The 2nd Gen has an Equalizer in the app, whereas the 1st Gen does not. The 2nd Gen also has a Shortcut button, which can be customized via the app for accessing e.g. Speaker Link, your voice assistant or Spotify Tap. The 1st Gen doesn't have a Shortcut button.

A: I’m VERY satisfied with my speaker. I don’t know the wattage but it has excellent sound quality when I open it up all the way.

If you're looking for a speaker that supports both Bluetooth and wired connections, we recommend the SoundLink Max. A: Yes it does. When the call ends your music/Audible automatically begins.
