The evolution of wireless speakers continues with the Bose SoundTouch 10x2 wi-fi speakers. This is not an earth-shattering breakthrough, rather one more option to go alongside Sonos. The Bose SoundTouch can receive bluetooth or aux (3.5mm) audio in addition to the many online services we're already using with Sonos. The convenience of the SoundTouch is the ability to add that local source easily. With Sonos, the AMP, not an inexpensive purchase, is required for adding local sources such as tablet, phone, internet radio, turntable, etc. The Bose SoundTouch is a lower-priced alternative that works well. The app is not great, but functional. One of the speakers likes to disconnect itself from the app while not in use, requiring a reboot from the app. With the app the speakers can be set as a stereo pair or as monaural distribution across distances (far better than bluetooth alone). We use these for background music distribution in our office. We use the service http://brandimusic.com - Enjoy!

We've had the speakers for almost a year now and we're happy with the sound quality and sleek look of the speakers. The only con to them is the app, which you'll need to download & install on your device if you want to play wireless. If I close the app without turning the music off first, the music will keep playing. Or sometimes the app crashes but the music keeps playing. Also, know that the only way to connect Spotify to these speakers is if you're a Spotify Premium member. If you only have the free membership, you won't be able to connect your Spotify account. Bummer.

Now that Bose has updated the software app, these things are much more stable network wise. I love being able to have these throughout my home and plan to purchase at least 4 more ST10's. I would recommend highly that Bose releases an updated Free Space 51 to include self contained 18 hour Lithium power, wifi and bluetooth capability, Sound Touch capability, ability to be plugged in to AC power, USB connectivity for smart phones and iPODs, IPX7, powder coated aluminum, rubber buttons on top of unit like the other Sound Touch units, RF remote control that floats and is IPX8 rated, sound level for an open area up to 50 x 50 square feet.

For audio you can use both speakers and work great for WIFI and Bluetooth. However, as I found out, you cannot use them both for audio along with video. You can use one, but not two. The latency is horrible with two and is unwatchable. Otherwise the pair work and sound great for music. I would have given a 5 rating if both speakers could be used while watching Nettflix, Utube etc.

We use these on our porch during the spring, summer, and early fall. Connectivity is great, sound is good, and plenty of volume. I like the option of using bluetooth along with wifi connectivity. Integrates well with iOS.

I have always been a Bose fan but I was really surprised by the sound quality of these speaker. The sound is clear at any volume and set up is very easy. Wifi and Bluetooth connection means no unsightly wires, just one cord to plug in for power. You will pay Bose prices for these speakers, but you will get Bose quality!

Bose is slowly building the SoundTouch lineup and it's very close to being a solid competitor to Sonos. Here's why. Flexibility: The addition of Bluetooth and Auxiliary inputs means that you can pipe audio in from almost any device with a headphone out and it supports most bluetooth devices. This certainly gives you flexibility should wifi ever act up or become unavailable. The dedicated 6 preset buttons are very handy and each speaker gets a remote that can directly address these presets Sound: The SoundTouch 10 sound good. To my ears they are slightly warmer than the Sonos Play 1 and my wife also preferred the sound. The have not disappointed in our home. The only missing feature is low bass. You're simply not going to get a lot of low bass sound with these, seek the larger SoundTouch 20 or 30 for this. The Apps: This is where Bose needs to the most work. The app for mobile was recently updated but I feel like it is unintuitive in ways. I think the volume controls are squeezed by the album artwork and this seems misguided as a multi-room audio system's best feature is the ability to control the audio. Artwork and other elements should be secondary IMO. Summary: Bose is a name you can generally trust and these speakers are no exception. It's clear that the software and streaming partnerships need to expand but it does a great job building a multi-room audio system that works and sounds very good. The future is bright.

Easy set up. App is fairly intuitive. The quality of sound from these speakers and how easily the sync up via wifi and bluetooth is amazing. Wish the interface with iTunes was smoother, but oh well.

I already had a Bose Lifestyle system in the living room of our four story condo and wanted to add speakers throughout the rest of the house. The speakers were very easy to install and sound great. The app for the iPhone is very easy to use and I love being able to choose between Sirius, Spotify, Pandora, or iTunes depending on what I want to listen to and then people able to walk throughout the house and never miss a beat. Unplugged two and brought them with us to a rental cabin for the weekend. Took about 5 minutes to reconnect them to the new network.

I have three of these speakers now in three different areas of my home, and I can control all three at once with my iPad or I can use each one's remote. Great sound! Easy to set up! Great for xm radio!

These speakers are relatively easy to set up throughout your house and provide the awesome sound you expect from Bose speakers. I have had more trouble posting this review than from setting these up! Purchased four and plan to add 2 more to the set.

I’m not a fan of Bose but these are worth the money. Awesome they connect to WiFi so you can stream from almost any service. Good app. and also interfaces with dot. Would be kinda nice if they were more portable but not a deal killer considering other features. Price is in line if not better than other brands. Pair multiple speakers and they are even more awesome! Our kids love them!

I got the speakers plugged in and working, and the sound is great just as I expected it would be. I wish there had been better instructions as to how to make my SoundTouch system and both speakers play all at the same time, I plan to call customer service soon to see if someone can walk me through it. I'm happy with the sound and would recommend these speakers to my friend.

I'd been researching and reading on multiple brands for some time. Bose offered the options and sound I was looking for. The 2 speaker set deal was new and I took advantage. The set up is simple. The Bose customer service is great and they stand behind their product. Sound is excellent, not alot of control as far as treble and bass. The set is loud enough but could be louder. I prefer my music loud so for average listening it performs well. No distortion and sound is clear.

I have a Soundtouch 30 and 2 Soundtouch 10's. They both sound incredible. They are easily moved from room to room or the two 10's can be setup in stereo in the same room. The app keeps getting better and better and allows Internet radio or iTunes Playlist using a local computer. Setup is very easy if you follow all the instructions in sequence.

Reading about how I could add additional SoundTouch speakers to my Bose SoundTouch 130, I purchased these on the day of a fall party. These are phenomenal! In a matter of no time (literally) music filled the home, inside and out! My only disappointment is the lack of Apple Music option, but Pandora did the trick. I truly wished there was Bose/Apple integration, otherwise, absolutely loving it, listening to Christmas music all over the house now! Absolutely love it!!

It was between the Sonos play 1 and Bose SoundTouch 10. Almost bought the Sonos because you could pair 2 in stereo mode. Was told couldn't do that with the Bose. Still liked the Bose as we have never been disappointed. After install, found that a software update allowed me to pair the Bose in stereo mode. That made me even happier that we bought the Bose pair. Sound great!
