Q: Will this work with the GoPro Hero 6 Black?
A: Yes it’s what I use it for
Q: Will this work with a action camera authentic H9? It has a Micro USB Port & Micro HDMI Port.
A: No, this unit is compatible only with GoPro HERO2, HERO3, HERO3+, HERO4 and HERO+ LCD.
Q: I have a Hero 2 does the external mic have to be self powered? If so is this one self powered?
A: The hero 5 supplies power to the external mic. No batteries needed.
Q: Will it work for the hero 3+
A: No, the Hero5 has a different battery.
Q: Will this mike work with an H5N?
A: Yes
A: This is not an exact answer to the question, but we are using the GoPro Mic adapter and a 20' cable to attach the audio input of the GoPro Hero5 to an aux out on our Mackie DL1608 mixer. We're still tweaking it, but, at this point, it seems like it should be providing the sort of audio response we're hoping for. If we are not able to get good sound quality from the setup, we will not be taking it "live"...
