Bowerbirds - Upper Air - VINYL LP

Vinyl LP pressing. The Clearing is the third album by the Bowerbirds, and as is often the case for bands that have found steady success, they had more time and better resources to make it. This is a bigger record, then, with bolder sounds and a broader scope. Thing is, these songs don't cede to the increased production demands. The guitars and strings, codas and bridges simply make these thoughts more urgent, more vital and more necessary, but not one bit less permanent.

This series documents the various classic independent record labels that operated at the dawn of Doo-Wop and early Rhythm & Blues. This volume focuses on the Klick Records tag and their stable of artists including Syncopates, Dreamtones, Fred Paris & the Scarlett's and many more. 25 classic tracks

2020 debut album from Laura Benanti, the Tony Award-winning actress and singer from Broadway, film and television, and best-selling author. Comprised of contemporary covers ('Someone You Loved' by Lewis Capaldi and 'Lose You to Love Me' by Selena Gomez), jazz influenced torch songs ('What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life?' by Michel Legrand and 'The Party's Over' by Jule Styne and Betty Comden) and comedic takes on songs such Burt Bacharach's 'Wives and Lovers' and 'Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk' by Rufus Wainwright.
