If space is at a premium, 704 S3 provides the answer. The slimmest floorstanding loudspeaker Bowers & Wilkins makes, it still packs a mighty punch, with its twin Aerofoil Profile bass drivers ensuring ample extension and scale. Thanks to its decoupled Continuum cone FST midrange driver – enhanced here with our Biomimetic Suspension – it’s capable of delivering crystal clear midrange performance.

The 706 S3 is an outstanding bookshelf speaker for use in larger spaces. Thanks to its decoupled Carbon Dome tweeter and carefully upgraded crossover, it provides exceptional detail and insight into your music, while its substantial 6.5in Continuum Cone bass/midrange drive unit provides ample scale and extension. Like its 705 S3 sibling, it performs at its best on the optional FS-700 S3 stand.

The slim and elegant R5 Meta is compact, but it is more than capable of delivering detailed sound and deep, clean bass. It boasts the 12th generation Uni-Q driver array with MAT and two 5.25” hybrid aluminium bass drivers. It can work as a stereo pair or as surround speakers as part of an R Series home theatre system.

I got these 70% off at best buy. That being said these speakers are amazing. Finding the right speakers can be hard given the preferences of different people. Ive used Klipsch, sony, bose, and JBL. The 703S3 models have been the least fatiguing speakers Ive heard that arent electrostats (a whole other beast). I used a test room for hours with Dyno, Logans, and KEF. To my ears, B&W were simply the best. Movies were immersive, old games were a new experience, music lowered my stress, I can't recommend these speakers enough. I did pair these up to a Marantz cinema 70. Trust me when I say they're loud enough for your house even with 50 watt channels. If you can fork over a little extra Id recommend a Cinema 50 110w model. If you can afford a lot more, go with Arcam and....its another realm for "enthusiasts". Ill admit a cheaper alternative would be the klipsch 8000f set. Its not as good....but its close.

For clout the 800 series is better. The marketing and finance departments at Bowers and Wilkins are excellent at differentiating their lineup. For our needs these are ideal. Would I get the 800s if I had the money? Yes. Would they sound or look better to my ears and eyes? Not at all. Should we all stop seeking clout and just enjoy these incredible products? Yes. Just get these and donate the rest to charity, thank me later.
