Equipment is working well but working with customer service at Best Buy is extremely challenging. This piece of equipment will really give you a great workout. Much better workout than an elliptical - highly recommend it. It took about 2hrs to put together. Lots of parts but rather easy putting together great instructions. There are also instructions on YouTube.

I have to say, the equipment works as planned BUT the software portion is not very user friendly! My wife constantly complains that the screen freezes and can’t find but one program that automatically adjust the resistance. However, we like the EXPLORE THE WORLD option! In the end the bugs in the software need to be fixed.

Disclaimer I am a employee of Best Buy. I have been using this HIIT style trainer for 2 weeks now and love it. Assembly - Putting htis machine together was easier than i thought. The instructions recommend 2 people but I was able to assemble the machine by myself without any issues. There is also a Bowflex video on Youtube that will help you build it step by step if you don't want to read their instructions. Design - The machine has a very small footprint of about 2ft by 4ft so it can fit just about anywhere. It also has small rubber wheels on the front to move the machine which is very easy, The grab handles can support various hand grips and the foot pedals are more durable/stable than i originally thought when building this machine. The screen fine for what it does but don't expect 4K resolution. Speakers can get loud if you really want to hear whatever you are watching. Performance - Workouts are great on the M9. The first workout will give you a assessment test to see what you can handle. It will then create programs with resistances that it believes you can complete. Custom workouts can range from less than 10min to 30min so there are a lot of options based on how you feel. Tailored workouts do require a JRNY Membership from Bowflex. I was hesitant in joining because I already have enough memberships and didn't want to spend any more money. Luckily you get a 2 month free trial with the machine. I have decided that with the tailored workouts that i will keep the membership and allow the machine to help work me up to tougher workouts. One downside is that you do required a JRNY Membership to access the infotainment on the machine (Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, ect). This is in my option the biggest downside of the machine and unfortunately seems to be common no mater what brand you go with. This was the only reason i didn't give this machine a 5 star review. However i am extremely happy with my purchase and will continue using it!

Like tittle says machine is great but the tech is awful I couldn’t give that a worse review and since the machine needs the tech to work it makes the whole experience bad. The pros: Solid contruction I weigh 300lbs currently and machine is rock solid even with throwing my weight around. Virtual coach and workouts are fun to help make workouts have some variety and not feel like the same thing over and over. The cons: I have to unplug and plug back in almost every time I go to use the machine because the software crashes. This involves having to wait for it to boot and connect to the WiFi to work out. Takes a few minutes so kinda annoying. while I’m away from it the machine even crashes if the machine hasn’t been used at all. WiFi disconnects sometimes while using it it’s only about 20 feet away from my access point and don’t have problems with any other device disconnecting. When doing a workout it pauses when this happens it’s great to be in the middle of a workout and have it crash for a second. Fortunately it does come back every time so far but after a few seconds but is super annoying. Machine is such a joke without the monthly expense of the app which makes it a even bigger annoyance. I would rather pay a little more up front and not be monthly paymented to death to have good functionality of it. After finishing workout app gets stuck transitioning from finished workout to workout summery and music will continue to play indefinitely until I unplug the machine. Resistance knob is not mechanical at all so sometimes it picks up adjustments sometimes it doesn’t so it’s real inconsistent trying to get resistance set Conclusion Seriously I don’t know how this tech could be any worse it’s like they didn’t even test it before shipping them out. It really turns me off to any future purchases from bowflex. Unfortunately there’s not much else out there that mimics a stair stepper without having to by a high end fitness center grade machine. I wanted this machine since I’m heavier I wanted something solid but I would probably go with the M6 if I could do it over since the tech is so bad on this. Seriously bowflex don’t make customers betatesters

I am very pleased with this purchase. Bought it on sale around the 1st of the year. Curbside pickup - easy peasy. Fairly easy to assemble, hardest part is getting it out of the package. With that being said, I like the fact that it does not take up a lot of room. No mechanical problems, the touchscreen seems slow at times. What I really like is you can take a 'fitness' test and then there are training programs set up 'just for you' based on this test. Also, the display, like a speedometer will show different colors where you need to have your speedo needle for that portion of the workout and it will display how long you need to hold it there until you move on to the next stage of the workout. Makes it very easy to follow along to get a consistent workout that you can build on. Would recomment

I used to be a runner, but knee problems have limited my running. The Bowflex Max 9 is a perfect cardio replacement for running for me, and it takes up much less space than a treadmill or elliptical. Great gym-like equipment quality, and easy assembly thanks to the excellent Bowflex assembly equipment. I’m very happy with this system and will get many years of use from it. I also recommend the JRNY subscription (save money by paying for a year at a time rather than monthly) since it keeps workouts interesting and helps to motivate.

Easy to use and versatile machine that can adjust to various users with ease. Lots of options to motivate you including features of training videos, music, visiting destinations, or watching a movie while working out. The only downside is that it is quite noisy and a bit expensive.

Great workout but had a factory assembly issue. Overall assembly is about an hour for a handy person. Problem was that I wasn't aware of the fault in the resistance system from the factory. Had to consult the factory (which has great response over Facebook messenger surprisingly) to get fix and apply it myself. Once done, it definitely got me sweating and I'm in athletic shape.

I purchased this so i can do cardio at home without having to go to the gym. So far I’m loving it and i use it everyday!

My wife loves working out on ellipticals. For years she’s used a NordicTrack machine but after switching to the Bowflex M9 she immediately noticed how much stronger of a workout she now gets. This machine has more of a stair stepping motion and, as a result. the workout is stronger. She also really likes the JRNY app over the heavily problematic iFit app on the NordickTrack. All in all, the switch to the M9 has been a great one.

just got it together got to use it for about 20 minutes i thought i was kinda okay in the cardio department but this thing kick my a-- i could only do a couple of minutes at a time

Perfect size for smaller apartments! Great workouts and just as good as some gym equipment!

I was going between the bow flex m9 and Nordic track fs14i and I should have went with this first. If your going between the 2 as well look up fs14i wobble it’s truly a defect from factory and is allowed cost me 300$ to send it back to recieve a refund. The bow flex m9 also gives a much more fulfilling workout.
