So far works great, I'm using it with my samsung s21 ultra and have zero compatibility issues, all you need is a TRRS to Type-C for samsung or (Iphone charge port) dongle or adapter since the phones these days don't have headphone jacks. Make for certain its a TRRS 3 banded 3.5 mm headphone jack and not just a TRS 2 bands the difference is that extra section on the head phone jack is for microphone. I noticed the BOYA seams to pick up the lower range better then the Rode which makes it perfect for my speaking voice. I'm making how to videos to go along with my in person classes and this fits the bill perfectly, the sound difference with this vs my in phone mic is night and day, went from sounding like a robot to a in person quality sound. If your waffling on which to get this is an incredible value for the price.

Useful tool for more and richer sound. Compatible with my DSLR. The jack for smartphones is loose in my Samsung. Will work if I hold it in with the case off.

It's a decent external mic. It is very affordable and very light. I use it with my go pro hero 8.

Cost was low about $30 but the quality of the build was extremely poor. The microphone holder (red) split when I popped it into place and then the jack plugin in the rear didn't hold the cable firmly it just kept falling out, no grip at all . . . save your money and buy a better brand. Do not recommend.

Fits well on my canon gx7. I am using it to stream and has improved the audio.

This mic is great, quality is some of the best for the price. However, there is a MASSIVE design flaw. Simply put, I've returned the first one using the protection plan and have the same issue with the one I have now just replaced it with. The plastic cold shoe, at least the red clip part, has cracked on both that I have purchased. I even had the Geek squad employee clip it in for me today, and I got home and realized it had snapped. See photos. I highly recommend getting the higher up model with the foam mic cover or just go with the Rode one. Again, super quality mic, just super poor engineering of the plastic clip.

Seems like a good microphone. Haven’t been able to test thoroughly, but picks up a relatively clean signal with good dynamics and directionality. Great for the price.

I'm happy with the sound of the microphone by itself. The only problem is that the shock mount is loose around the base. It makes noise when you move the mic around and it gets recorded on the audio. I had another shock mount to use with it but the original should have been working right out of the box.

I needed an additional mic for my GoPro because I wanted to sound quality for videos to be really crisp and this does the job however the screw keeps coming unscrewed but not a big deal breaker on account of the price.

The dynamic range of this BOYA MM1 Cardioid Condenser Microphone is not great, but it's OK. I've also noticed that the audio levels it produces are a bit low when recording on my smartphone, perhaps because the mic has no internal battery to boost the sound levels. However, you can probably boost the audio levels using a smartphone app or else boost them in post-production. This mic comes with a removable "dead cat" windscreen. It also comes with two cords that have 1/8" connectors on each side. One cord is for a normal audio input on a camera or audio recorder. The other cord, which has one side with a TRRS (tip, ring, ring, sleeve), is for use with a smartphone's 1/8" microphone/headphone input jack. This mic also comes with mounting hardware (as seen in the product photo), but beware that the bottom of the mounting hardware has a screw hole but no screw coming out the bottom. So depending on your tripod or mount plate, you may need to get some kind of adapter or threaded connector. The mic also comes with a small, black carrying pouch. All in all, it's a decent buy because the price is fairly low.

Very impressive for the price. Got it on sale. However be careful with the shock mount, it feels like it will break easily.

Plugged into my Nikon D750 and worked fine. Good sound quality and seems to be well made. However shock mount seems a bit delicate.

Compact and decent sound for such a small microphone. Used it to record my daughter’s violin concerto. Great sound. Very satisfied.

This is an excellent little stereo mic. With the on-going COVID, do everything from home, this has been a fantastic upgrade to continue doing remote music lessons. The sound quality on calls is great and conveys the musicality of the instruments well. Works really well with a laptop or tablet.

A big plus in capturing audio compared to what mobile and DSLR can capture by themselves. I would say this is very comparable to the Rode shotgun that is $60. The only difference is one catches the high end and the other catches the low end of audio so whichever you prefer is the one for you. I’m sure I’ll be getting another one of these mics!

I brought this mic to use for online meetings to replace my webcam microphone and also for my GoPro when vlogging. I sounds good and I would recommend it to anyone on a budget.

Purchased to use with my DLSR camera for enhanced audio when recording video. It does a great job. Love the compact size. Very easy to use.

This microphone offers small size, head phone jack (with adapter), cardioid condenser, mountable mini stand (tripod, larger microphone stand), wind break filter, and travel bag for a reasonable price. The BY-MM1 microphone offers real plug-and-play design and operates on plug-in power from your device, so no battery is needed. It is built with aluminum construction and includes a shockmount, carrying pouch, and furry windshield. Also included a 3.5mm TRS to 3.5mm TRS cable for cameras, camcorders, and audio recorders and 3.5mm TRS to TRRS mini-jack cable for smartphones, tablets, or Mac computers.
