Brad Colerick - Tucson - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Americana stalwart and crusader, Brad Colerick, is back with his fifth solo , Nine Ten Thirty, following 2014's critically acclaimed Tucson CD. The album was a musical barn-raising, made entirely by Colerick and friends from the 91030 zip code including 6-time Grammy winning pianist, Billy Childs, among others. Co-produced by Colerick along with his bandmate, bassist Guillermo Guzman, the album chronicles life in the small town suburb of Los Angeles with a big dose of Colerick's Inchprairie-folkInch roots mixed in. The album closes with a punchy cover of InchRoute 66Inch, the original route of the highway dissects the town of South Pasadena about 100 yards from Colerick's home.

Brad Colerick drew a line in the dirt 20 years ago when he gave up making records to make music for commercials. With the of Cottonwood last year, he crossed that line and now takes a big step forward with his follow up CD, Lines in the Dirt. With contributions from Suzy Bogguss, Larry Klein, Herb Pedersen and April Verch, Dirt fulfills the promise of Cottonwood. Boasting nine compelling originals and two well-chosen covers, Colerick takes the listener on a journey through his life and his stories. The playing is sharp and crisp, the songs deep and affecting. Colerick delivers another round of intimate and thoughtful vocals for an album bound to please any fan of honest music making.
