Brazilian Boys - Super Herois / Tudo Ai - 7-INCH SINGLE [7 inch Vinyl Disc]

Mr Bongo's essential Brazil 45s series notches up number 89 via a blast of heavy dancefloor pressure that touches on both Brazilian funk and samba-rock. On the A-side you'll find Golden Boys' 1975 gem 'Segura Na Cintura Dela (O Gaviao)', an irresistible slab of full-throttle, orchestra-sporting, Hammond-heavy samba-funk marked out by strong group vocals and some superb musical arrangements. Over on the flip you'll find another classic from the same producer (Milton Miranda), Silvio Cesar's 1971 carnival masterpiece 'Beco Sem Saida' - an infectious excursion that found fame in the 2000s when Drumagick sampled it on 'Sambarock'. Album Tracks 1. Golden Boys - Segura Na Cintura Dela 2. Silvio Cesar - Beco Sem Saida

Number 94 in the Brazil45 series sees things take an excursion into samba. 'Mar Afunda', what a track! Instantly addictive with it's relaxed guitar and Cuíca samba-rock beauty and mighty-fine vocal arrangements by Os Novos Crioulos. Taken from their collectible self-titled album that was released on Pirata Records in 1976. It's a track that always works it's magic on the dancefloor. Supersom T.A. keeps things uplifting with it's female/male paired vocal arrangements, key stabs and Cuíca. 'Brasileira Roxa' is rich in breezy sunshine vibes. A beautiful slice of feel-good samba that was originally released in 1972 on a compacto 7Inch via Fermata Records. Album Tracks 1. A. Os Novos Crioulos - Mar Afunda 2. B. Supersom T.A. - Brasileira Roxa

We are celebrating the 100th in the BRAZIL45 series with a massive track. The enticing and exotic samba 'Redondo Sambão' is pure Brazilian fire. With beautiful female vocal-group arrangements, floating flutes and vibrating rhythms, this song oozes charm. It's only downside being that it is over far too soon. Originally released in 1967 on a compact 7Inch on the Som Maior imprint, to our knowledge, the group sadly only had a couple of releases. 'Brasileiro' is taken from Jorginho Telles' self-titled 1971 album and also featured on a 7Inch, both released on Copacabana Records. The track switches between a hoarse male vocal crooner and a rough and raw psych-guitar, RnB dancer totally magic!
