I purchased this to cook and warm small items like baked potatoes (not just microwaved spuds), crisping up left over french fries and onion rings, etc, But when I got it home, I realized that this thing can do anything our full size oven can as long as it will fit inside the opening. And the opening is very large so it could cook whole chickens, pans of brownies, smaller pre-made pizzas to name a few. It does a great job at everything we have tried so far. It is expensive. But considering all the various things we have cooked and warmed up in this thing, I would say it is well worth it. So far, so good on the reliability. I havent had it for a year yet. But it seems to be holding up well so far. I hope the longevity is as good as it's everyday performance.

It's big. It's pricy. It's perfect. Minimum requirement is it better do toast perfect. It does. Have to try different settings to calibrate to your desired toastiness, but very consistent once you find the setting. It's a second oven. Nice option when you have a small dish to bake and you don't want to heat up the house with the oven. Color change on display panel highlights when its on and hot, and when it's cooling down and when it's off. Very quiet for convection oven. We have a blender from the same brand and it's excellent as well.

This is the 1st toaster over I have had that actually toasts well without having to turn the bread over to get both sides toasted. The oven also bakes very well. The oven is easy to use. The only drawback is the price.

It is a pleasure to find a toaster oven that is large and accurate enough to take the place of a regular oven for numerous tasks. I baked a casserole in it yesterday; baked some muffins last week; toast bread to my specifications, etc. It is a little pricey, but well worth the extra expense. I'm sure I am saving money by not using a larger oven. I also find having it on a counter top makes it easy to pop things in it without bending, pulling, or opening a heavy door to examine the contents while cooking.

I lost my old toaster oven while moving, so after a few weeks without one, I started to do some hunting online. This is an elite toaster oven. I honestly would hesitate branding it as a 'toaster'. It's essentially an oven, but an oven that is small and fits on your counter. Obviously, it will radiate some heat, so make sure you give it some space on either side, but it still remains useful and compact enough to be placed somewhere where space is limited. It's very simple and easy to use. I've used it in place of my gas oven to bake a number of items. I believe I read someone complain about how loud the alarm sound is for the oven. I do not have any complaints about it. It's quieter than my microwave. The magnetic pull-out rack is nice. The SO complains that the pull-out rack does not function correctly all of the time, but I have not noticed this. I have had the oven for a few months now, and I believe that it will last me quite a long time.

This toaster is seriously a smart toaster. My bread is actually perfectly toasted on both sides. You can fit a decent size roast or three turkey legs easy. The pizza option is really cool. Easy to use and everything that comes with it is super easy to clean up!

I have always wanted a capable, useful counter top oven to replace my aging toaster and give me an option to bake or roast something without heating up the old oven (and as a result, the entire kitchen). I did not want a run-of-the-mill toaster oven and based on my research, this was a very popular choice. You really get what you pay for in this unit - it is very easy to use and does a lot of different things. Of course it toasts but it roasts, bakes, keeps things warm and more. The convection feature is great and cooking times can be reduced a little as well. It has generous capacity and the included baking/roasting pans are very good quality. The user interface is very attractive and easy to use and I would recommend this item to anyone.

Great small oven!!! It can do everything a larger convection oven can do, just less of it. My daughter and I made cherry and apple turnovers with puff pastry. With the convection they came out beautifully puffy. That's really awesome for a small oven. It's quite roomy inside. Love the feature that turns it's self off when done!!!! Everything I cooked in it so far has come out wonderful. ( broiled salmon and vegetables are my favorite) I haven' t tried to toast bread in it so don't know about. Best little oven a have ever had!

This product is easy to use and cooks well. I like that it doesn't take up so much space on the counter, as well. Love it!

This is the 2nd one that ive purchased. I purchased this one as a present for my Sister in law, who's old toaster oven died. She has a 4 year old and a 2 month old. She was having to heat up an entire range to just cook something for the toddler. She lives in an older/remodeled home in central Florida. While she was having to use the range in the middle of the day it would heat the house up 20 degrees and the 20 year old a/c system couldn't bring it back down more than 10 degrees at best. Now she is constantly using the Breville to not only cook for her toddler but her entire family. She says it is the BEST present ever and absolutely loves it and doesn't see how she has done without it. It doesn't heat up the house and has actually lowered their monthly electric bill.

Looks great in the corner of our counter. Toast is nearly perfect, except for the lines from the wire rack. Pizzas come out perfect. We have cooked small roasts in it and it works as good, if not better, than our full size oven (which is also a convection). We find new uses for it every day. We have a rice cooker plugged into the same socket and we have not had an issue. Pricey, yes. But you will use it more than your full size oven.

I have had this toaster oven for a couple of weeks. It makes evenly tanned toast, although with the darkest setting, I sometimes have to add a minute or 2 to get the bread as dark as I like it. I have broiled fish which comes out really well cooked and reheated a variety of foods. Pizza comes out perfectly crispy on the bottom and bubbly on top. I haven't noticed a great difference in cooking times from my conventional oven, even using the convection option. But the oven is easy to use and cooks well.

I think this oven is great overall. We have used it in a variety of settings. It took me a while to figure out which settings to use but once I did it is easy to use. Pros: Cooks consistently and accurately. Variety of settings are easy to use. Remembers prior settings when used in different modes (Toaster vs oven). Cons: If you open the door too fast with a tray in it, the tray comes shooting out. I feel like the toast setting gets to dark really fast. I would like a little more low end variability. The dials feel a bit flimsy. Overall I think this is an excellent product..

This is a wonderful product, I use it for everything!! I don't even use my big oven anymore... the only thing I don't like is when it's time for the timer the oven shuts off (I guess for safety) so make sure you do the settings again if you want to leave a few extra minutes... I still forget all the time, I guess I'm not used to it yet...

We do not have a full size oven and were in need of a new toaster oven that cooked things more evenly then our older and smaller B&D one did. At the time, BB had a 20% off small appliances sale. Unfortunately, Breville was excluded, so the high price tag scared us away at first. But after watching their youtube videos, and seeing all the possible things we could cook with it, we couldn't resist. Everything that was cooked in the oven tasted 10x better than it ever has; even frozen pizza tasted delicious. We even tried a pot roast dish from a related youtube video using the same oven and it was amazing. The controls for the oven is an ease. If you can't figure out how to work this oven just by looking at it, then maybe you shouldn't be cooking. As far as anything bad about this oven. None so far, and I have been using it daily for the past month. One thing this oven could use though, like some of the other toaster ovens, is a little interior light. Its a bit hard to see how something is baking at times without opening it and pulling the rack out. Overall, this is a fantastic little toaster oven. For $250, it is at the top of the list, but it was well worth it in my opinion. Definitely a better deal if you have rewards certificates to knock it down 10 or 20 dollars like I did.

We love this product as it cooks evenly and is consistant. Many features to list but I can truly recommend this Breville Smart Oven because it performs better than expected.

Perfect little oven. As a single I don't always want to heat the whole house to make one scone, or crank up the grill for one steak. Broils and bakes evenly, reheats brilliantly. I can't say enough about it.

The functions are easy to use. Whether you're baking, toasting or using the other heating options, cooking is even. The exterior design and look are very attractive.
