I bought this DR221CL for 126.00. I got 4 cartridges and NO FRICKIN INK !! What is UP With That ??
Answered by BrotherThe Brother DR221CL is the drum unit set which transfers the toner to the paper. The toner cartridges are sold separately.
I have a Brother Printer MFC8810DW, Cannot print, window says Need replace parts - drum. What model number do I need to purchase. It only prints black ink, no color. Please advise. Thanks.

what exactly is this used for and where do I install It? On my machine Brother MFC-9130CW it has been coming on the screen to replace the drum. Is this what I need to replace. Thank you.
Answered by geeky03The drum is what holds the toner cartridge in the printer. It's the black thing that the cartridge sets in. You will need to pull each one out, then remove the toner cartridge and install it into a new drum. Each color needs one. After doing so you will need to reset the drum life counter on the machine. I just called your customer service and they stated this only comes with the black drum. Can we get clarification on this? There seems to be other questions related to this product asking if this comes with the color cartridges as well?
