A: My Brother printer is my second one. The first one i had for years, i ordered a brother ink cartridge but the company i ordered it from sent me a generic cartridge. Not thinking i was, well it looks like my brother cartridge. I put it in and i do t know what happened but it killed my printer. So from now on i don't put anything but brother cartridge in my brother printer.
Q: Will this cartridges fit the brother and work in the BrotherMFC-J475DW
A: You have to look up your specific printer to select the proper cartridge. I have an older model of my Brother printer as well and the cartridge is different. I highly recommend using genuine Brother Cartridges only, and NOT Brother "compatible" cartridges.
