About this product
Reissue of long out-of-print album by drummer Bill Bruford's Earthworks • Arguably Earthworks Mark I's most fullyrealised studio , even as it moves towards a more abstract aesthetic. • Includes live performances of the African-influenced 'Libreville' and the more atmospheric 'Pilgrim's Way', both originally released on 'Dig?', demonstrating how Earthworks was able to rework and open up the material in performance.

Digitally remastered and expanded edition includes two bonus tracks. With Earthworks second album, Dig?, Bill Bruford began to be accepted, on a broader level, as a jazz drummer, even though his roots in the style go right back to his formative years. Bruford had found players who were clearly familiar with the jazz tradition, even as they pursued ways to break it down and reconstruct it in new and unusual ways. Earthworks' second and best features young Turks Ballamy and Bates and a new bassist, Tim Harries, who replaces Mick Hutton. Tunes are by everybody and Tony Hatch (the latter a mutant arrangement of Downtown by Bates which will not be entering the top 40). This edition has two bonus tracks in addition - Emotional Shirt and Pigalle - culled from the band's live appearances. This album has been out of print for some time. This re- is on Bruford's own Summerfold Records and was overseen personally by him.

Digitally remastered edition. Live, one-take, no overdubs, and very real document of Bill Bruford's Earthworks from 1992. Recorded in America and partly in England on tour, Stamping Ground (originally released in 1994) was the final Earthworks album to feature Django Bates, Iain Ballamy and Tim Harries. Out of print for some time, this reissue is on Bruford's own Summerfold Records and was overseen personally by him. Fans suggest this may be the Earthworks album to get.

Known for her magical, evocative voice and an ability to interpret and inhabit a range of styles with a mix of power and feeling, Heather Findlay is one of the finest vocalists working in music today. Cutting her music industry teeth at just 19 with rock band Mostly Autumn, for the 13 years that followed, she earned her stripes and learned her craft well, both in the studio and on stages across the world. With 2016's The Illusion's Reckoning project with transatlantic symphonic rock super ensemble Mantra Vega, followed by Winter album, 'I Am Snow' with her own Heather Findlay band, the path towards her debut studio album Wild White Horses was a busy one. The album was released in 2019, and produced by Thunder's Luke Morley, to great acclaim. In 2020 her live album repertoire grew to include the double Live Album Live White Horses, chronicling her Wild White Horses tour of 2019/2020, from where it all started in Nashville TN all the way across UK, Europe and back home again. In 2021 Findlay produced the second album of Odin Dragonfly, her long time duo with Mostly Autumn's Angela Gordon, titled Sirens. Following the of Sirens, Findlay went on to write, illustrate and two books Raising Violet and The Orelium. Now back in the producer's seat, she brings to life a whole new and much anticipated solo studio album offering, Wildflower.
