About this product

This Cat 5e shielded Ethernet patch cable, also sold as a Cat5e LAN cable, internet cable or RJ45 network cord, moves Gigabit traffic over 24 AWG bare copper rated to 350 MHz, well above the 100 MHz the Cat 5e standard requires. Foil shielding wraps the twisted pairs, so the run stays clean beside power cabling, inside metal racks and near motors or ballasts where unshielded cords pick up noise. Snagless molded boots protect the locking tab and 50-micron gold-plated RJ45 contacts hold a clean connection. Compatible with Cisco, Netgear, TP-Link, Ubiquiti, Linksys, ASUS, Synology and QNAP hardware, and fits Cat 6 and Cat6a ports. Stocked in 7 ft to 100 ft lengths, from short patch cables to long Ethernet cables between rooms. Best for: structured wiring, workshops, server rooms and electrically noisy rooms. Not for: in-wall runs, outdoors, or 10 Gbps links (choose Cat 6a).

Features

  • Shielded Cat 5e, 350 MHz, 24 AWG Bare Copper

Twisted pairs of 24 AWG bare copper, not copper-clad aluminum, rated to 350 MHz against the 100 MHz the Cat 5e standard requires. Carries Gigabit Ethernet to 100 m with 50-micron gold-plated RJ45 contacts on both ends.

  • Foil Shielding for Rooms Where Plain UTP Struggles

The STP construction wraps the pairs in foil, which is what separates this cable from an ordinary unshielded patch cord. Reach for it when the run shares a tray with power cabling, passes through a metal rack, or sits near motors, ballasts or shop equipment.

  • Not For: In-Wall, Outdoor, or 10 Gigabit

Quick check. Rack, patch panel, workshop or server room? Yes. Behind a router, switch, modem or NAS? Yes. Permanently inside a wall or ceiling? No. Outdoors or buried? No. Need 10 Gbps? No, choose Cat 6a. Works with Cisco, Netgear, TP-Link, Ubiquiti, Linksys, ASUS, Synology and QNAP gear.

  • Snagless Boots Keep the Locking Tab From Snapping

The most common way a patch cable dies is the plastic release tab snapping off, after which the plug will not stay seated. Molded snagless boots cover that tab so it does not catch on a cable bundle or panel edge while you pull the cable out.

  • Sample-Tested Production, Cable Leader Direct Support

Each cable is sample-tested during production for continuity and wire map. Manufactured to RoHS environmental standards. If your cable arrives defective or stops working in normal use, Cable Leader handles replacement requests directly, no manufacturer redirects.

Cable Leader - Cat 5e Ethernet Cable, Non-Booted 24 AWG RJ45 Patch, Gigabit for Patch Panel, Switch, Server Rack, Router - Yellow

Wiring a crowded patch panel or switch where every millimetre counts? This Cable Leader non-booted Cat 5e Ethernet patch cable, also sold as a Cat5e LAN cable, internet cable or RJ45 network cord, drops the bulky boot so plugs sit side by side in high-density ports and air moves freely through the rack. It uses four twisted pairs of 24 AWG bare copper rated to 350 MHz, well above the 100 MHz the Cat 5e standard requires, with 50-micron gold-plated RJ45 contacts. Compatible with any RJ45 port on Cisco, Netgear, TP-Link, Ubiquiti, Linksys, ASUS, Synology and QNAP gear. Carries high speed Gigabit Ethernet up to 100 m and fits any Cat 5e, Cat 6 or Cat 6a jack, Cat6 and Cat6a patch panels alike. Stocked in 1 ft to 100 ft lengths, including 3, 10, 25 and 50 ft, from short patch cables to long Ethernet cables between rooms. Best for: patch panels, network switches, server racks and structured cabling. Not for: cables unplugged often (no latch protection), plenum or riser runs, or outdoor use.

Cable Leader - Cat 6 Ethernet Cable, Non-Booted 24 AWG RJ45 Patch, Gigabit for Patch Panel, Switch, Server Rack, Router - Purple

Wiring a crowded patch panel or switch where every millimetre counts? This Cable Leader non-booted Cat 6 Ethernet patch cable, also sold as a Cat6 LAN cable, internet cable or RJ45 network cord, drops the bulky boot so plugs sit side by side in high-density ports and air moves freely through the rack. It uses four twisted pairs of 24 AWG bare copper in a 6.2 mm PVC jacket, tested to 550 MHz, well beyond the 250 MHz the Cat 6 standard asks for, with 50-micron gold-plated RJ45 contacts. Stocked in 6 inch to 100 ft lengths, including 3, 10, 25 and 50 ft, from short patch cables to long Ethernet cables between rooms. Cable Leader - Cat 6 Ethernet Cable, Shielded STP Patch Cord, RJ45 24 AWG, for Router, Switch, Patch Panel & Server Rack - Gray

This Cat 6 shielded Ethernet patch cable - also sold as a Cat6 LAN cable, internet cable or RJ45 network cord - moves Gigabit traffic over a 24 AWG stranded bare copper core tested to 550 MHz, well beyond the 250 MHz the Cat 6 standard asks for. Foil shielding wraps all four twisted pairs, so the run stays clean beside power cabling, inside metal racks and near motors or ballasts where unshielded cords pick up noise. Each RJ45 plug carries 50-micron gold-plated contacts wired to T568B, and a snagless molded boot shields the locking tab so it does not snap when the cable is pulled back out of a packed patch panel. Backward compatible with Cat 5e and ready for Cat6a ports. Compatible with Cisco, Netgear, TP-Link, Ubiquiti, Linksys, ASUS, Synology and QNAP hardware. Stocked in 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 10ft, 14, 15, 20, 25, 50 and 100 ft - short jumpers through long Ethernet cables between rooms. Measure the path the cable travels, not the straight line. Best for: structured wiring, server rooms and patch panels. Not for: in-wall runs, outdoors, or 10 Gigabit across a full 100 m.
