Four twisted pairs of 24 AWG stranded bare copper, not copper-clad aluminum, in a 6.2 mm PVC jacket, tested to 550 MHz against the 250 MHz the Cat 6 standard requires. Carries Gigabit Ethernet to 100 m with 50-micron gold-plated RJ45 contacts on both ends.
Wi-Fi is where lag spikes and buffering come from. Running a Cat 6 cable to a console, PC, streaming box or smart TV removes interference and drop-outs in one step. Works in Cat 5e, Cat 6 and Cat6a ports, so it fits the router you own today and the one you buy next.
Works with PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch OLED dock, Apple TV 4K, Roku Ultra, Samsung and LG smart TVs, eero and Netgear routers. Quick check: Console, PC or TV to router - Yes. Patch panel to switch - Yes. 10 Gbps runs - No, choose Cat 6a. Plenum or riser run - No. Outdoor or direct burial - No.
Clear molded boots, 6.7 mm across, let you check the conductor colour order through the plug housing and keep a clean look against white and light-coloured equipment. 50-micron gold-plated contacts are built for repeated plug and unplug cycles behind desks and entertainment centers.
Each cable is sample-tested during production for continuity and wire map. Manufactured to RoHS environmental standards. If your cable arrives defective or stops working in normal use, Cable Leader handles replacement requests directly, no manufacturer redirects.
Need a dependable wired link from the router to a console, PC or smart TV? This Cable Leader Cat 6 Ethernet patch cable, also sold as a Cat6 LAN cable, internet cable or RJ45 network cord, uses four twisted pairs of 24 AWG bare copper in a 6.2 mm PVC jacket, tested to 550 MHz, well beyond the 250 MHz the Cat 6 standard asks for. Transparent molded boots show the wiring at a glance, and 50-micron gold-plated RJ45 contacts hold a clean connection. Compatible with any RJ45 port, including PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch OLED dock, Apple TV 4K, Roku Ultra, Samsung and LG smart TVs, and eero or Netgear routers. Carries high speed Gigabit Ethernet up to 100 m and works in Cat 5e, Cat 6 and Cat6a ports. Stocked in 6 inch to 25 ft lengths, from short patch cables to long Ethernet cables between rooms. Best for: home networks, gaming setups, offices and patch panels. Not for: plenum or riser runs, outdoor or direct-burial use, or 10 Gbps links (choose Cat 6a).
