Q: Where can I get more of the descale powder for this device?
A: Hello - we checked the information for this unit, and we recommend using one of our icemaker cleaning solutions that can also be used as a descaler in our expresso machines. The part number for this cleaning solution is #WX08X42870, and you can learn more about this by looking up the part on our GE Appliances website. -- As an alternative, a 1:1 ratio of water and white vinegar can also be used as a cleaning solution for the descaling process. -- We hope this response was insightful, and please reach out to us on social media if any other questions or concerns come up. Q: Does the machine has a bypass for the grinder so that I can use decaf once in a while?
A: You woukd just take out your beans,and replace with decaf, it's on the top of machine and easy to access.However,you might want to run a ristretro( my cup) shot to clear out the regular coffee.

Plastic does come in contact with the coffee during the brewing process and the plastic is BPA free. All wetted parts are BPA free. We hope you find this information helpful. Q: Can you make a regular coffee with this machine?
A: You can make an americano which is similar to regular coffee but made with espresso.
A: I don't use the app,just the buttons on the machine.Easy peasy.
Q: Can you use the app to start brewing, or is it only for adjusting the settings?
A: You cannot use the app to start brewing
A: Thanks for checking with us. Yes, this Espresso Machine does have the steam feature and can be used to make an unlimited number of espresso-based drinks. Frothed milk drinks like Cappuccinos and Lattes are classics enjoyed by many. You'll want to brew your espresso before using the steam feature. The steam function requires higher temperatures than espresso and brewing espresso immediately after steaming will affect the taste of the espresso.
