Calvin Love - Super Future - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Kansas City's charismatic singer/songwriter, harpist and multi-instrumentalist Calvin Arsenia releases his evocative new album, LA Sessions, which showcases his incredible vocal gift, a veritable deep dive into his soul, rock, jazz, and pop pedigree. Recorded in only two days, LA Sessions scores as an intimate, heartfelt milestone from the eclectic young artist. Arsenia gathers some of music's most sought-out collaborators/session musicians on the impassioned six-track effort, artfully reimagining past gems including the achingly moving InchBack To You,Inch and a smoldering version of Billie Holiday's treasured InchDon't Explain.Inch Produced by percussionist Tony Braunagel, the album also features Paul Brown (guitar), Mike Finnigan (keyboards), Freddie Washington (bass), and David Garfield (piano). Between them, the five musicians have worked with some of music's most iconic names. In addition, the vinyl lacquerings are one of the last sessions from the legendary Ron McMaster.

2018 . Kansas City's beloved singer/songwriter, harpist, and multi-instrumentalist, Calvin Arsenia, releases CANTALOUPE, an album celebrating independence, love, sensuality, and wit. Shamelessly blending soul, pop, classical, and folk musical styles, Arsenia woos these sometimes disheveled orchestrations into a surrealist dreamworld where romance is king and transparency is queen. CANTALOUPE features 9 original tracks including the entrancing and empowering InchHEADLIGHTS,Inch as well as a version of Britney Spears' InchTOXICInch that will engulf you head to toe.

Mistura Pura (Federica Grappasonni), Italy-based DJ, record producer, and vinyl collector boldly returns with her sophomore album. Blending sounds of Funk, Afrobeat, Latin Jazz, and Jazz in 5/4 combined with unexpected electronic textures of Trip Hop, House, and Downtempo.  Fusion - Jazz Funk is my music genre identity. For me it is the highest expression of Jazz regarding the melting pot of traditions and rhythms. It is where more than in any other art form, and/or musical genre, intertwining and integration find their peak. It is a constantly evolving process that never ceases to surprise us and to renew itself just as it happens in nature.Inch
