Great performance for the size. Kit was very easy to install and fan was incredibly quiet.

The overall quality of this kit is actually decent for the 160 USD it was at the time I ordered it. If anything is lacking, I'd say the case itself feels a little cheaper than I'd like. If you specifically need a Raspberry Pi5 8gb to do some programming on a board that runs at a relatively lower power consumption or retro gaming, this is a solid choice. You can even flash multiple operating systems to one SD card or have a different OS on several cards to swap between them in a flash. Just a heads up though: Sound did NOT work out of the box with the preinstalled operating system, even after letting it automatically install all the updates, and even after reimaging the OS entirely from scratch when Canakit told me to waste my time with that. Should you have the same issue, make sure the computer is connected to the internet, launch the command box and type: sudo apt update Hit enter, wait for it to finish, and then type: sudo apt upgrade Enter the confirmation to let it upgrade and then reboot it. These commands apparently download the most up to date drivers, which the Pi version of the Linux OS doesn't include in the automatic updates manager. If you don't need a Pi computer specifically, and just need an inexpensive PC for basic video streaming services, web browsing, social media, maybe some lower spec Steam games (It plays some Xbox 360 games off steam just fine), you can get very solid performance with an N100 mini pc running full blown Windows 11 for about the same price as this or a little more.

Wonderful little tinker board. I have it running a home assistant server, but there are many more things that can be done.
