Limited edition on translucent purple coloured 180-gram audiophile vinyl. As one of the Netherlands' most famous saxophonists and the daughter of Hans Dulfer, Candy needs no introduction. The self-taught musician started playing at age six and made her first recordings already in 1981, at 11 years old. In 1990 she released her hit album Saxuality (selling more than a million copies worldwide) for which she received a Grammy nomination, and followed this record up with Sax-a-Go-Go in 1993. This is the follow-up to Big Girl, and is a continuation of the funk, R&B, and dance path she started following. But make no mistake Candy's blowing is as fierce, gritty, direct as ever, providing a striking juxtaposition. Like on Big Girl, Dutch vocal mainstays Trijntje Oosterhuis and Berget Lewis are featured again. The album features the songs InchSaxy MoodInch and InchSmoothInch and reached #8 on Billboard's Top Contemporary Jazz albums for the year 1998. Album Tracks 1. Saxy Intro 2. Saxy Mood 3. For the Love of You 4. Once You Get Started 5. Smooth 6. Gititon 7. Girls Should Stick Together (For Nada) 1. Wish You Were Here 2. Allright 3. Give Me Some More 4. Sunday Cool 5. Bird 6. For the Love of You (Vanski's Superdooper Dance Mix)

Limited edition of 1000 numbered copies on silver coloured 180-gram audiophile vinyl. It's hard to believe that it has been over 35 years since Candy Dulfer rose to fame with her high-profile collaborations with Dave Stewart (the worldwide number 1 smash InchLily was hereInch) and of course, the legendary Prince, whose tongue-in-cheek recommendation (InchWhen I want sax, I call CandyInch) in the InchPartymanInch video made the world sit up and notice the young, glamorous and talented sax player at his side. Candy has been fortunate to work - both in the studio and on stage - with some of the biggest names in music, including Van Morrison, Maceo Parker, Sheila E., Mavis Staples, Lionel Richie, Beyoncé, Pink Floyd, Chaka Khan, Aretha Franklin, and many others. Despite these high-profile collaborations, Candy mainly focused on her solo career, starting her own band at age 13 and touring the world ever since. The Essential contains an overview of all the fantastic songs she recorded both solo as in collaboration with other musicians. This 17 tracks double LP includes famous songs like InchSax-a-Go-GoInch, InchLily Was HereInch, and InchSaxualityInch. Album Tracks 1. Lily Was Here (Feat. Dave Stewart) 2. Dance 'Till You Bop 3.
