Canon - 50 Standard Capacity - Ink Cartridge - Black

I am absolutely amazed at this print cartridge. The Unboxing: It comes in an individually packaged, double-sealed container AND has tape over the print head. After the anticipation of carefully unboxing it, it popped right into my Canon MP460 printer where the old cartridge used to be. Just clicked right into place with a pleasant snapping sound. What Does It Do: It's not just about tactile feel you get when installing this print cartridge. The real magic starts when you use the cartridge to turn hard to fold documents on your computer into real paper documents, beautifully depicted in high-contrast BLACK ink. Amazed? So was I. Full Disclosure: I am receiving 25 Best Buy Reward Zone points for writing this, but it was the sublime sense of childlike wonder that this new print cartridge added to my life that is the real motive behind this review. But Wait! There's More: There is a think layer of gold foil on the print cartridge at the print head. After it runs out of ink, I may use it as futuristic jewelry or just scrape the gold off into a safe place so that I will have a barter-worthy commodity if the world economy collapses and we return to a de facto gold standard. Not All Roses, Unless Your Roses Are Black: I know what you're thinking. "Black ink. Elegant packaging. Real gold! It can't be all that good, can it?" There is one significant drawback. This cartridge prints in BLACK ink. If you want to print in COLOR, that would be a different cartridge. Still, despite this limit of the product only doing what it was designed to do, I would still highly recommend it if you have a compatible printer.

This ink cartridge has much more ink than the PG-40 cartridge. Even though it is worth spending a little extra and getting this cartridge rather that the PG-40 as the ink lasts much much longer, it still does not last a very long time if you print a lot of photos.

This and the colour cartridge 51 give twice the ink at a third of the price on sale.

It is hard to find ink for my out of date (but still amazing printer) and Best Buy had a great price! I checked and saw it was in stock and ran in to get it. This ink LASTS!

I have bought these for years from Best Buy. Works great, good quality and lasts a long time since this is the high capacity cartridge. Will continue to buy!
